I think the term "sex offender registration" is too broad. I think they should come up with a more specific classification like "child molester registration" or "adult rapist registration." Otherwise, how do you know if someone is a danger or not.
Up until recently homosexuals were the targets of police and many were convicted on outdated sodomy laws. Technically, they could be called "sex offenders" because they were convicted of a sex crime. Likewise, prostitutes that get arrested and convicted for practicing the "oldest profession" are also technically "sex offenders."
Heck, even masturbating alone is a "crime" that Florida prosecutors are seeking convictions on according to this article from the ABA. It would not surprise me in the least to see those convicted being required to register as "sex offenders." Perhaps they should open up a new "masturbation registry" for repeat offenders.
As I said, the term is too general, and I feel it is becoming a tool for politicians to terrorize their constituents. They need to make more specific "registrations."
Now, where should a child molester or rapist live? Perhaps we should have concentration camps.

where will sexual offenders live?
by purplesofa ini am watching fox news, .
and i am sorry i do not have the details, but, in this particular county, they are extending how close a sex offender can live to a school, daycare, etc, from 1,000 feet to 2,000 feet.
of course the people that the outer circle is being moved to do not want this.

It could be about Japanese movies. I just downloaded Daremo Shiranai (Nobody Knows, 2004). I have no idea what it is about, yet. Other great Japanese flicks are A Taxing Woman and Tampopo (Dandelion).

Earthlings(Animal Cruelty)
by frankiespeakin inearthlings is a feature length documentary about humanity's absolute dependence on animals (for pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and ...scientific research) but also illustrates our complete disrespect for these so-called "non-human providers.
" the film is narrated by academy award nominee joaquin phoenix (gladiator) and features music by the critically acclaimed platinum artist moby.
i had a hard time watching it to the end.. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1282796533661048967&q=earthlings&total=682&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0.

Would you have been born if your parents were NOT J-dubs?
by Highlander ini think it's very safe to say that i would not have been born if one or both of my parents were never jw's.
mom and dad met because they were witnesses.
if not for this cult, they wouldn't have met and i(their armagedden baby) would never have existed.

No, I wouldn't have been born. My mother was a pioneer who moved to a different State (in the USA) where she met my father. They got married in '66 and I was born in '68.
As an aside to gaiagirl's comment, it could very well be that the same egg that I came from could have been fertilized by an X chromosome bearing sperm instead of a Y chromosome sperm, in which case the individual born would have been a female. Also, the possibility existed that the fertilized egg which produced me could have split completely in two, in which case I would have been one of two identical twins. Only I would have been me, though my genetically identical brother would have looked like me. And yet another possibility is that a different Y chromosome sperm than the one that produced me could have fertilized the egg and a male child could have been born with *some* of my genetic traits but not others. Who knows but that *that* me would have left the Borg long ago or would still be in it. Still, he wouldn't have been *me* for our lives can change directions based on very small decisions that we make.

For the men:
by changeling inhow many of you grew a beard when you left the wt, just because you could?

PrimateDave
Yep. About a year ago I grew a beard for a month. Salt and Pepper. Funny, really, because I don't have any whites or grays on the top of my head, although I'm thinning up top. I'm trying rogaine for that. But I haven't had a haircut for well over a year now. I'm going for terminal length, which I hope will be mid to lower back. The only facial hair I leave on is a mustache, which I shave off entirely sometimes.

Ever since humans could travel over seas to distant ports and islands, they have wondered at how different the people looked in each destination. However, an ancient traveler walking from northern Europe to central Africa and then to the middle east, central, south and east Asia would have seen no such artificial divisions. He or she would have noticed the gradual changes in appearance as one village led to another. Naturally, a European man arriving on foot in southern India or in China would have been an object of curiosity for the locals. But he would have seen how we are all related.

Here is a little joke I read once:
Some tourists were standing in line in an airport in the Dominican Republic. One of them lit up a big fat cigar.
"Hey, you can't smoke in here!" cried one of the tourists in line.
A friend of the smoker replied, "What? It's a free country. If you don't like it go back to the USA!"

nvr,
Medalla is good. Of course, YMMV. Another beverage that is popular here that I like is malta India. The same brewery makes maltas and beer: Cerveceria India in Mayaguez. I know a fellow who works there. He's a neighbor. I went with his family to their Pentecostal church once. Religion is not for me, but I've got no problem visiting a church with friends now. I guess we're getting slightly off-topic. lol!
