  I haven't seen the documentary and probably won't. Just the fact that the Watchtower was heavily involved in the making of it, says bundles.

  If anyone wants to send a response to Anderson Cooper and let him known the real truth about the Witnesses here is the link to do so. I would hope that CNN will consider doing a story on the pedophile ruling in California. Last year I sent info about the JW blood policy to this link and the producers were very interested, until Hurricane Katrina moved in. Maybe if we all contact them with the truth about "the truth" they will consider again.

  Amish forgivness

  i saw a part on the today show where matt was asking if it was possible an emotional disconnect to be able to forgive immidietly after such a terrible tragedy.

  i personally feel it is not natural to be able to forgive something so big so quickly and it makes me think they all put on a front because they are a cult-like group too.

  if they said "one family is forgiving, and another family is mad as h*ll about the whole thing,"it would be much more believable to me.

  I live in Philadelphia, not far from Lancaster, PA. On several trips to the Amish communities, I've seen them using cell phones and allowing their 12 yr old sons to smoke. A friend of mine worked for a health food store and used to take their e-mail and phone orders in which they paid with credit cards. Their is a huge drug problem among their teens.   About a year ago an Amish man was convicted of a serious crime and sentenced to jail. The Amish community complained how incompetent the "English" mans court system is. They also have their share of pedophile coverups and like the Watchtower, they refuse to call the police in.

  As you can see from the above link, they're not as innocent as the majority of the public believes.

  Saw My Mother!!!

  i was on my way home today, and i passed my mother on the road.

  tears came to my eyes immediately, just at the sight of her face.. i hate this religion.. but i love my mom.. i can't even remember, when the last time we spoke was.. i just want to sit down and talk to her, but i can't- i won't- because its her fault.

  Read the book Releasing The Bonds by Steven Hassan. This book deals with leaving a cult, helping loved ones trapped in a cult, and understanding how cults work. You may not be able to help your Mother come to her senses and leave, but you may be able to help her come through and be on speaking terms again.

  SHOCKING!

  i just managed to see the last 15 minutes or so of the 'tonight with trevor mcdonald' programme on british tv.

  it concerned young children under 12 who had their blood tested and it was found they all had (at least those i saw) high levels of toxic chemicals in their blood.

  one family ate organic produce and were generally the "healthy" type and yet their daughter had the highest levels of certain chemicals than others in the study.. a toxicologist said that although the chemicals were high we shouldn't worry too much as they are twice as high in the usa!!!.

  typically, by the end of the summer, i usually take off some weight due to good exercise and better eating.

  then, in late fall and in the winter, it gets tough again.....what do you do to keep the weight off or if you've put a few pounds on how do you keep them off??

  I lost 15 pounds on the South Beach Diet and kept it off for over a year. Then I had liposuction in the abs and hips to remove the stubborn fat that excercising wouldn't get rid of.

  Canal Street in Chinatown is a MUST!!! You can buy inexpensive but high quality fake and stolen designer handbags. I bought 3 bags, a fake Kate Spade, a fake Christian Dior and a Coach bag that "fell off the back of the truck." Not only can you find some great buys, but it's a lot of fun too. If you're looking for a fake designer bag, you are led into back rooms and down alleys to buy them.

  will you react with prejudice when faced with "absolute truth?

  sometimes, an irrefutable "truth" can be spoken.

  and yet, this statement or fact of "truth" can be glossed over or dismissed or not recognized by the community at large, because of preconceived ideas taught us and engrained in us, from our previous upbringing or training.
