It is amazing how far the WTS will go to keep the courts from seeing any information on child abuse. They clearly are more concerned with protecting the elders and Organization than ensuring a fair trial for the child. In the document it is shown that they have invoked the 'clergy-penitent privilege' and the 'attorney-client and/or work product privileges' in order to not hand over documents to the court. They also claimed that the discovery process was too hard, so they would not be able to find the documents. In most of these the court overruled them and they will need to present the documents.
The case isn't won, but this a good step in the right direction.

For a religion who continually asserts they do not have a clergy class they sure love to hide behind the clergy-penitent privilege. It's about time they get called on it

Lady Lee,
No other single sentence ever written on this forum has had the impact as this one you have written. Thank you for putting it so clearly in so few words.
No clergy, but they want the legal privileges.
Truly evil.
