i am passing this on for your information, if you need to give advice (or need advice) for those getting involved in any way with the watchtower.

it is for christians and non-christians, so take what you will from it.

the jehovah's witnesses will want the kids raised as jehovah's witnesses and teach them all of the society's peculiar doctrines behind your back.

fear of flying

i am in need of support!!.

i'm meant to be flying to washington from the uk in december and am frightened of flying.

well, not flying exactly, more the falling out of the sky bit.

Check with a major airline to see if they offer "Fear of Flying" classes in your area. Here in Philadelphia, USAirways has them once a year. It is a 3 or 4 day program with psychologists. The last day of the program they put the group on a plane and show them the cockpit and all of the safety devices. They then take off for a one hour flight.

Many of the people say the program is successful. They are still a little nervous flying but not as much as before.

When is it time to put down a pet?

i'm rather sad today.

i've been putting off taking my old dog (14 years old) to the vet because i knew the news wasn't going to be good.

it was even worse than i thought though.

I know exactly how you feel. Last February we had to put down our 10 year old Golden Retriever. He had a cancerous tumor that spread very quickly. It was very hard to do. I found a web site that helped me deal with the pain. It's www.petloss.com and they have a beautiful poem called Rainbow Bridge.

THE CELL PHONES of ELDER'S

when they call their number is blocked out.this makes them unavailable when you want to call them.don't even try to call them after 9pm at bethel,no matter what the emergency!they only call you to get you to come to the meetings and go out into field service!.

so now we turned on ( acr ) anonymous call rejection,which allows us to reject calls from callers who have blocked the display of their telephone numbers.now my number will not ring and the caller will hear a message that instructs them to hang up and remove their blocking and call again.. since we did this,elders are not calling us anymore.as i said they want to know your number,so they can call you to come to meetings,otherwise they can't be bothered.they give their cell number to a select few only.the congregation as a whole don't have the elders cell phone numbers.don't try to get them at bethel either,once they know who is calling they hit the ignore button in their head.. really, i can't be bothered by the elders calling me about the same old same old line.but for those who really need some kind of help or information about whatever,this shows that they are not truly shepherds of sheep.. blueblades

The Raelians, who welcomed worldwide attention earlier this year for human cloning claims, are protesting their latest turn in the media spotlight. And cult experts say Sun Media's series, in which two journalists infiltrated the Raelians, will shake up the organization.

"Those higher in the (Raelian) structure will be demoted for not catching spies. Heads will roll," said Dr. Sam Klarreich, a cult specialist with the Ontario Psychological Association.

The Quebec-based religion, headed by former journalist and race car driver Claude Vorilhon -- who is known as Rael -- believes humans were cloned by aliens.

The articles disclosed some disciples say they are ready to die for Vorilhon, who believes there are governments planning his assassination, and women in the cult are prepared to offer their eggs to help the cult's cloning program launch new experiments in human cell culture.

The Raelian movement became front-page news last December with claims its scientists soon would deliver the first human clone. No proof was ever given they had cloned a baby.

The reporters also uncovered bizarre "sensual meditation" sessions.

"Our members aren't forced to do anything," Raelian Bishop Ricky Lee said Thursday.

The newspaper series has attracted international attention, with reporters Brigitte McCann and Chantal Poirier appearing on CNN and U.S. newspapers running excerpts.

Lee said his group is considering a lawsuit because of the series.

"(The reporters) were deceitful (about joining) and printed lies to sell a story," Lee said.

Mike Kropveld, executive director of Info-Cult, said there is the possibility the Raelians knew there were reporters in their midst and ignored it for the publicity.

"It would satisfy (Vorilhon's) need for the spotlight," said Kropveld.

Reading Apostate Literature.

the wt.society forbids the reading of apostate literature.. they claim that all religions have apostatized.. they claim that the catholic church is an apostate religion.. yet they use the bible that they ( the church ) canonized during the face off of which books should be canonized and which ones should not.. simply put, how does the wt.society know which books are inspired and which ones are not?.
