What does WT,org teach about the Faithul and Discreet Slave?

Watchtower April 15th 2011 has some interesting points on the FDS.

Such as:

page 4,

"Jesus Christ is the assigned Leader of the congregation. (Matt. 23:10; Eph. 5:23) He has delegated some authority to a faithful slave class, made up of faithful spirit-anointed Christians. That slave class, in turn, appoints overseers in the Christian congregation.—Matt. 24:45-47; Titus 1:5-9."

and

page15,

"Elders make decisions that affect the congregation. However, they make sure that they “do not go beyond the things that are written” in God’s Word. (1 Cor. 4:6)

They also follow closely the direction they receive from the faithful slave. (Matt. 24:45-47)"

IF you can believe that then you will believe anything!!

Who or What Helped YOU Get Out Of The Watchtower Mindset?

The Elders in my wife's congregation.

They lied so much about a situation; that eventually they had to lie about the GB/FDS instructions.

IF the truth was the truth, there is no way they would have done that!

Hierarchical or Congregational?

congregational polity is a system of church governence where each congregation is ecclesiastically autonomous.

many protestant churches are organized this way and one of its advantages is that it protects the parent organization(s) from legal actions originating at the congregational level.

one of it's disadvantages is that a minister in one congregation does not hold that same status in other congregations.

They try to be both; depending on the circumstances.

In my wife's UK cong they are definitely congregational,

as the elders DO NOT agree with some of the GB policies.

They DO NOT agree with the Branch office in North London either.

Tried to end my "bible" study, ended up agreeing to go to the Kingdom Hall instead!!!

my jw came over yesterday with a video she wanted to show me, i forget what it was called but it was about the history of the watchtower.normaly i don't have a problem discussing the bible with her, but i just could't sit through this bs video.

i already know the history of the watchtower,.

and it certianly isn't what this video was going to portray.

Just SO typical!

They are so crafty, when you get to the hall, they will 'love bomb' you,

then you should think what wonderful people they are and you will stay.

It is just like fishing and you are on the hook!

Just cut and run now or it will be too late.

From my own personal experience.

i got this from a file called flip flops i believe a leonard r miller it sapose to come from the 1954 walsh trial transcript and i have downloaded the 810 pages and the part looks like its from examination or cross-examination of covinton ex president and high profile lawer but i cannot find these questions and answers in those pages since that is the best evidence as i wish to help wake up my wife and mother.

any thoughts.

i just installed, and as i hoped, it didn't overwrite the 2008 version i had.. i did notice that the first page up gives me not only the text for the day but also the weeks theocratic ministry school and service meeting parts.. just in case anyone wanted to know.... oz.
