YES ! very true.
i could'nt believe my ears!.
that's 11th of july 2010.
Another failure for the JW's !!!!!
the small town i live in (pop 1600) has a regular.
event every 5 years called "homecoming" that.
beckons everyone smart enough to have escaped.
I was very worried for a moment there! I thought it was all day on the 'kingdom service'.
I hope there is no back lash from the JW's
i think i might go this route..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrwdfgeefce.
With great difficulty!
well, i was just given the new dvd from the convention and i am trying to figure out if i should watch it or not.
on one hand i enjoy uncovering the hypocrisy, it's a good reminder as to why i am faded away.. on the other hand i dont know if i should waste my time watching crap.. thoughts?.
tt.
I have watched it! 62 mins of the same old stuff.
Just the sight of the GB members is the most sickening part!
IF you need to copy it, you will need DL (Double Layer) discs.
today was rather a beautifully balmy hot summers day in the uk and i decided to take the babies to the park with a non jw friend of mine (let's call her y).
as i arrived in the park i caught sight of my best jw friend (let's call her x), one of the many who has decided she wants nothing more to do with me or my family.
i went to meet up with y and x walked straight past me with a quick flick round , obviously to check my babies out!
I second that
I was shunned recently at a JW get-together, interesting and yet strange.
We should feel sorry for them.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1295224/yorkshire-ripper-peter-sutcliffe-spend-rest-life-bars.html.
check out the blue box.
of course jehovah's witnesses would adamantly vouch for a serial killer convicted of butchering 13 women.
If I hadn't read it myself I wouldn't have believed it!
"The judge’s ruling also reveals that Sutcliffe has been befriended over the last 15 years by Jehovah’s Witnesses, who are emphatic that he now shows remorse for his crimes."
How do they know he shows remorse?
I am also rated an evil person or an apostate.
i haven't posted here for about 5 or 6 months.
i've looked through previous threads in an attempt to find out about the sort of stuff issued at the das this year, but without success.. my wife still attends some jw meetings.
at present she's in attendance at the big da in perth, scotland.. can anyone on this board comment on any talks, demonstrations, experiences, etc.
Thanks to YKnot here is the complete program:

Listen for yourself!
I have several people listening to these talks.
i'm not 18 yet, so i've never had the chance to become one (thank god), but what kind of things do you learn as an elder that are... different from being a regular jw or basically someone without "priveleges"?.
.
for example, what stuff do you hear, what books do you get, what kind of things did you see, etc..
As an Elder you are infallible, you are appointed by 'The Holy Spirit',
you are superior in every way compared to the rest of the flock.
You NEVER make a mistake or an error of judgement - and if you do!
You have the ability to lie about anything or anybody,
the Branch office or Bethel will support you in ALL your lies.
You pray 'long and hard' about some things.
A simple summary for you from my personal experience of over 50 years.
I have NEVER been an elder! I was once an assistant Watchtower Servant,
a sister was THE Watchtower Servant!
