  while i was sitting one night with a poet friend watching a great opera performed in a tent under arc lights, the poet took my arm and pointed silently.

  Einstein came to an understanding of things that are not intuitive to most people.
  
  I think the minds that take things to new levels in the future will not be created in the usual way, humans procreating.
  
  Think of the rare occurance of individuals with savant abilities. Understanding how to tap into that potential through drugs and technology,
  that is a whole new area of research that needs to be explored. Imagine if you could recall absolutely everything you have ever been exposed to
  with extreme clarity, and actually think of 20 topics all at the same time, and mix the reults of all 20 thought experiments into a useful final
  answer.

  Richard Dawkins Gets "Expelled" by Ben Stein!

  i just got back from seeing the new movie release "expelled" which is a documentary exposing the militant culture of supression regarding intelligent design in the scientific community.

  in a "million years", i never would have imagined that ben stein could get the author of "the god delusion", richard dawkins to speak favorably about i.d.

  (intellignet design).

  in another thread it was mentioned that a newer wt or awake stated that "god's battle is directed against those humans whom god judges to be incorrigibly wicked.

  his war will be selective in destruction.

  " which gives a somewhat less violent picture than what has been presented for years and years.. is this new light a change in the perception of how armageddon will be brought about or is it just pandering to the ignorant masses so as to not reveal the true belief that they're all doomed to destruction?.

  The chances of Armageddon coming are about as good as the chances that there was a great flood that destroyed all things that walked or crawled about 4500 yrs or so ago, and that ark that saved the kangeroos from extinction.

  The Jews and JW's have one very important thing in common. They are both God's chosen people.
  The JW's were chosen in 1918 apparantly. Its in their literature, the Watchtower. The Jews were chosen much earlier,
  which is written in their literature, Deuteronomy 7:6. When God choses me, I am going to write it down so
  people will believe me.

  i'm not trying to pick a fight i was just sitting at my desk pondering on some threads on jwd and i would very much like this question answered.. why is it that athiest often (not always) direct their argument for athiesism towards christians?

  why not direct your argument towards buddists or muslims or even new-agers?

  i mean they also believe in a higher power so why is it that only christains seem to get knocked?
