  first off, i want to make it clear, i am not accusing anyone of any misdeeds.

  there are alot of topics on here like; "show your picture, what do you do for a living?, how did you pick your screen name?

  these are probably innocent posts by nice people.

  I have worried for those who post info re: this too. I get nervous maybe they aren't aware that this could be viewed by those who would then use that information against them. But I think everyone knows their own situation best, and hopefully posts only what they are comfortable with. Sometimes though I will read someone in the same post saying that they have a need for anonymity, and then in the ensuing sentences give away localised information...that confounds me a bit.

  my bethel servise left me seriously depressed!!!!

  i auxilary pioneered for a year, then i regular pioneered for 2 years while serving as a ministerial servant.

  then i served at bethel for 3 years.

  while at bethel i worked harder then i have my hole life.

  Hello S.Lockman and welcome to the board. How long have you been reading it then? How long ago were you at Bethel? Are you still one of Jehovah's Witnesses?
  I think one of the problems as well is he is not communicating very well if he's being honest about who he is, which maybe.

  jws celebrate birthdays?!

  i was speaking to a friend last night, trying to explain why i don't go to meetings etc,(waste of time though she just can't seem to understand my point whatever i say), anyway she said as long as i don't d'a myself she can still speak to me.

  she said they only d'f you if you commit a gross sin.

  i refuted this saying if they knew i didn't agree with some of the teachings, sent a fathers day card etc and you weren't sorry they'd get rid of you.

  Did she call you? Was she digging for information? Of course, if she is JW in good standing, with her brain scrubbed shiny with indoctrination, then it would seem to me natural that she wouldn't "get it." It's like trying to explain to a hardline trekky why you don't think the 2 years they spent studying kling-on (kling-wrap, static-kling, whatever) was not a worthwhile pursuit. You say it, and then they just get angry and cuss you out in klingon.

  i think some people actually use part of their real name.

  i chose mine because i really feel 'in between', in that space where your not a jw anymore but really haven't figured out where you are in life and what path you want to take.

  just thought it would be an interesting topic.

  Well, I guess it must be soft and fluffy since you couldn't pull your hand out of it for the three seconds it takes to get the photo.
  I would keep it, certainly don't shave your head/keep the beard thing. My dad did that, and when he did, I noticed for the first time that many, many men did that(ick). Don't like that.

  smellsgood: There are other groups that teach almost exactly the same thing the WT does. Unfortunately the ones that come to mind are cults too. Why don't you do some research on the WT?
  Sounds like they took advantage completely of you. That doesn't seem very loving. That doesn't seem like Jesus' direction to make ones burden light.

  smellsgood: Why don't you try and get someone to cover your story? Hell, you're in New York, why don't make a sign and hold it up on the Today show if nothing else. Maybe put a krispy kreme plate on top, so Al will be sure to come over and speak with you.

  I am New and I Am Being Discriminated At Work For NOT BEING A Catholic

  and also catholics and lutherans who hate on jws are harrasssing because they are blindsided and i am sick of it .... why do witnesses have such hate poured on them by catholics and lutheran groups?

  also, how do you deal with not celebrating holidays?

  is it wrong to wear crosses or can it be a gothic thing that a witness can possibly understand?

  Maybe if they give you a haircut that is so crunky you would have been better off giving a rowdy group of toddlers dull scissors and mountain dew before turning them loose on it. That would be ample justification to hate anyone I should think.

  Too Dang HOT!!

  i just stepped out into my back yard and thought i was going to melt.

  i was going to fill up the inflatable pool for my son, but by the time it gets filled up, the water will be about 90 and not worth the bother.

  i'm sure that other california people can relate to this.

  It got up to 102 yesterday, and looking the same forecast today.
  The awesome thing is that the car doesn't have AC. Also that it overheats, so if you don't want the engine exploding you have to blast the heat to cool off the engine.
  And the kiddie pool has a hole in it.
