well, i'm sitting here on what should be a meeting night (how wonderful is freedom?

) with a stiff drink.

it's been a hell of a crappy couple of weeks and many tears have been shed but i'm feeling at peace tonight (even though brother in law yesterday informed us they only want emergency contact with us from now on - can you believe they want nothing to do with our two beautiful little ones, their nephews?!

China selling cardboard as a snack!!!

china is selling hunks of cardboard off the street, seasoned with msg, as a snack!

this might be over in beijing but isn't anyone worried about what the heck is still getting into this country or if any of the 'snacks' we've aready eaten have been nothing but some fibre scraped off the sidewalk, slipped into plastic bags and sold as 'tasty treats'???

I might be surprised if you said "Canada" but China....not so much. I suppose they will be some of the only people speaking from experience when they taste something and comment that it "tastes like cardboard."
I'm not surprised with anything about China, their government is all about production and economics. They are so incredibly polluted over their, much of their water is completely toxic from the constant dumping of chemicals/sh*t/poo whatever, their standards of safety are like something from the middle ages. Lead is in everything. My mom's friend brought home these little replicas of the Terracotta Warriors, and I was suspicious because of the color, so I tried to write with them, and they wrote. So, yeah, lead. I'm surprised that street vendors arent trying to sell steamed cellophane, or sauteed thistle, the standards are so lax.

China is like a cult with their country as their god. Information control, behaviour control, all of it. Just look at the way they use their people as commodoties, no inherent value to an individual except for what it contributes to the group, the whole.

Sorry, got me going, I was going to start a thread about China.

beautiful is beautiful, not just new or trendy,,,, Orlando is very pleasing to the eye. I'd say he has more masculine than feminine. Most men who are really beautiful got a little woman to 'em, like David Beckham for instance. Just free your mind and your androgyny.

I think some beautiful girls are a little masculine, Gisele Bundchen for instance.

P.S. to Mincan...I meant to write this to you, but that thread disappeared. Probably because I was being a little to profound, that can happen sometimes when my synapse fires once annually. Anyways, so you didn't get into A college??? I haven't been to college, and by gum I will get the GVT to pay for it. That said, to remind you you are young, there are colleges that are terrific where you just enroll and don't have to go through a thorough examination by who knows who. Einstein didn't even finish college!! Neither did Gates, neither one I suppose had potential to be successful or intelligent. Oh wait, everyone has a different experience.

Now, just keep trying, you'll get accepted, and if your not, just start your own record label, then of course if you start a record label you must start a clothing line, and naturally if you are dressing people, you must also perfume them with 70% alcohol by volume eau de toilette. Then you'll get your HONORARY degree from NYU and be golden. You'll have a degree and not even have had to spend an hour of your time dissecting the characters of the haunting novella "Beloved." It's kinda like if you give a mouse a cookie, but more lucrative. Trust me, I'm part Irish.

In the immortal words of Thom Yorke "Personally in my head, I understand the sounds of big white shipping metals, all glass and white and chrome and stuff." And you can take that to the bank.

I'm a mix between Bruce Valanche and Roseanne Barr. That's right, all of you who thought you were the hottest of them all just had all your deluded little fantasies wither...all that woefully misguided self-esteem just burst into flames. I know it's rough, but chin up, people weren't looking at you anyways. They were looking at ME. Because I'm hot enough to be on Hollywood Squares, OR have my very own sitcom. But I choose instead to arbitrate multilateral negotiations to open more markets for the indigenous downtrodden peoples of Peru. And I breed ferrets. That's what real beauty is, taking care of the poor and the ferrets. (smile) *ting*
