eh. you strike me as malicious.
in any case, I find some of your post good examples of quoting out of context.
Based on that, I'll be more cautious with my words in the future.
Thanks for the welcome.
wow.. so, you know i'm an active witness, very active.
hah.
and i'm not laughing at y'all, but wow, i can't believe how extensive this is.

Well, the elders aren't my parents. I don't have to submit a log of activity to them. However, I will own to my choices, so if this is a bad decision, I'll get the consequence. Isn't that right? That old familiar, you reap what you sow.
As for marriage. Well, I take the view that if that submission is handled the way it is supposed to be, the way it is truly portrayed in the scriptures, then there will be little trouble beyond those typical small squabbles. If my husband truly imitates the way christ treated his disciples, we'll be fine. You may note that even when his disciples were arrogantly arguing who was the greatest, he did not have a fit of anger, scream obscenities at them, physically abuse them, and tell them how puny they are were in comparison to him, or whine about their behavior. He dealt with the problem, but he did so in a loving way.
I realize many christian brothers don't have the proper view of this, so I may single for a very long time.

lol, darling, I'm not here to be the avenging angel, so you'd best put your questions to someone else.

When you read through Genesis, it must be clear that Jehovah (I don't care it's incorrect pronounciation) doesn't like the wimps.
Maybe it's right, maybe it's not. I may not return. However, I thought it would be interesting to see what sort of reaction I would get from posting. Although, most replies sound like I did a few years back, and therefore rather depressing, I have enjoyed this experience.
Well, look folks, I've got bookstudy tonight, and it's goody night. I wanted to try to make some eclairs. After all, I am a French major. So, good night and good luck.
Ciao,

Not taking the rules seriously??
Naw... most like, I'm just a rebellious kid. (did I mention I've got my hair really really short and I like to stick it up and wear it like that to the meetings... and i'm a girl... oops...)

Thanks. I'm sorry you had such a miserable experience.
Yes, I noticed that everything was a promise a few years back. In the organization, we constantly receive reassurance of promises, that's very true.
Thinking solely of the scriptures, and flinging the Society to the side for a moment, it seems that most of what Mat. 24 had to say about the signs of the times are being most significantly fulfilled right now in our day. And that, btw, is what the Bible says, and my opinion, not the Society. I used to speculate that we've had the problems mentioned there throughout human history. Those things have always been present, but they haven't been worldwide until now. Perhaps that's due to the increase of communication technology; we're more aware of the world, and miscommunications can happen quicker... or maybe it's really happening, this whole end of the world thing.
your guess is as good as mine.

I've said the same exact thing myself, so I can relate to that feeling of confinement.
In my experience however, you can't be entirely open with any group. So you're right, self-honesty is definitely a healthy step in establishing where you feel most welcome.
