i ask because my former best friend (who betrayed me to the elders) still lives with her mom.
she moved in a month before she got df'd even though her mom knew she was close to getting df'd.
Why should we want to help you to help yet another person hurt yet another family member?
Go ask one of the 'friends' at the WTS (you and we all know that you can't do that - you can't exercise your right to freedom of speech there without getting into even more trouble).
But leaving this sort of immature, unChristian, manipulative behavior in the dust is what most of us are about on this board.

Why do JWs come here? Because they're curious but too guarded to say they're curious.
So they come here and cause trouble and express that they are defending the WT, but really, in the backs of their minds, it's just an excuse to sit back and let it all soak in without actually saying so. To others and maybe to yourself, too.

Because they hurt us deeply. And we'd like to protect others from the same. And that's almost impossible to do because of the high control they exert on their members - so that the members can't even really find out about what the ex's are saying or feeling or thinking.
The things you mentioned about both groups: In most of the cases on your list, the bad things the WT did came first. Then, at least 75% of the time, the bad things the ex's do are in RESPONSE to them.
It's BECAUSE of what the WT says or does that the ex's are responding the way they are.

I can't figure out the post but I wanted to say that I respect and adore the loving way that French people and French society cares so deeply for their children. Plain old Americans could learn a lot from them (meaning even non-JWs).
As for the French/JW stuff, I fully support the French government in its actions against the JWs. It's ridiculous that they should have to spend so much money repeatedly sending their police and other law enforcement officials out to defend these people when they come under attack.
The solution to that problem is to officially recognize that this organization which leads people AWAY from God and from their own well-being is NOT a religion, but a cult. And, as such, not deserving of special legal protection by the government, beyond the fact that they are citizens of the country.
If you're going to stand up there and tell everyone that ONLY YOU are righteous and everyone else is from Satan (while your organization is riddled with horrible internal scandals) how much responsibility do you expect that we should be taking to protect you in your lunacy and hatred?
Rather, society needs to be protected FROM you.
