One can't help but to notice that these guys believe that their own intuition about something is EVERYTHING.

They believe in THEMSELVES to an ABSURD degree.

Their little antenna about what is in someone's heart is more reliable, they believe, than ANYTHING - lie detectors, experienced officers of the law and the courts, etc. etc, etc.

If they can ever point a finger at ANY one time any of these things were in error, they will quickly jump to the conclusion that all of them are ALWAYS in error - and surely always when it's a Jehovah's Witness that's involved.

And ONLY THEY can REALLY see the faces behind all the many masks.

Yoo-hoo....not to rain on your parade, but look around you - you are surrounded by criminals - child molestors, sex perverts and liars.

You don't have any intuition. The thing you're good at is zeroing in on a normal person's reasonable doubt and beating them to a bloody pulp with it.

Glad you're liking it. Me, too.

FYI, someone is also an accessory if they lead someone to believe that they CAN commit a crime and not have to pay for it.

I would have to say that all this talk from the higher-ups about 'needing two witnesses' is pretty f'n misleading. Especially when they tell them that they would 'have to' be considered innocent without that requisite.

I'm thinking there must be a way to communicate to the rank and file that THEY could be held responsible for what someone else does, if they know about it and keep it quiet.

Perhaps when they call at our doors, we could simply ask them for their names and what congregation they're with. To write them down. So that JUST IN CASE a case arises, they could more easily be located to give any testimony that they might have.

Why do the Governing body remain unknown?

why do the governing body remain unknown to witnesses in general?.

i used to think that the fact that the gb promote themselves (personnaly by name) in the magazines and don't name writers of watchtower articles, was a sign that the governing body was humble and meek.. but why did they take this policy?russel and rutherford were certainly not unkown.when did the transition happen?.

my theory is that this annomimity is use to make the magazines look like they are not aurthored by men.if an article appeared with the writers name , witnesses may choose to reject what is writen as they can see it was writen by a man.but not nameing the writers makes it hard for witnesses to identify the writers as just human like them, and gives the impression the magazines and books have a divine source.. any other ideas?

Well......I was GOING to say that they don't want to be known because then you could check their criminal backgrounds (which might still be true)....BUT NOW.....I actually do have a very good reason why they remain anonymous.

It is a simple 'weeding' process.

They know that if you are so gullible and so needy that you are ready to surrender ALL to a bunch of unknown and unknowable strangers - completely lacking both the ability and the desire to check anything out for yourself.....then they know that they HAVE you, 100%

Think of how much people sacrifice to them.

Friends, families, careers, the LIVES of their children!

And right from the start, they can determine if you're gong to be someone who is going to 'upset the apple cart' or not.

If you question (a very REASONABLE question in the mind of ANY thinking person), then you're out.

If you trust and believe, then you're sunk. They have you now. And they will have you always.

And the more horrible and outrageous crimes they can get you to commit or defend or overlook, the MORE they have you.

i am going through the process of disassociating myself.

as usual people are talking, some are rumoring me an "athiest" my brother thinks satan has me.

it's crazy, just because i don't believe the jw's and want to leave, everyone is all over me.

Consider how much they live in FEAR that this will happen to them. How much they BELIEVE in their hearts, that they can't function responsibly without the WTS.

They 'project' that fear onto you, because they're too ashamed to acknowledge it to themselves - that they actually feel that way.

Just think, without Jehovah's Witnesses, where would students of psychology go to find a ready made crowd that they could observe to understand the AWESOME powers of denial, projection and peer pressure on the human psyche?.

You don't need me to answer your question, do you?

The word from the local police is that if a person knows of a crime and fails to report it, they legally become an 'accessory' to the crime.

This applies to everyone and it applies EVERYWHERE in the United States.

before making accusations that jehovahs people are the religion of child abusers look at the other churches.

But JWs would be the ONLY ones who are actively SEEKING pedophiles, by proclaiming, without shame, their policy.

'Come, my load is light' - 'We know you are trying to get over it. Afterall, we have smokers, too. So everybody has their sins. How could anyone have the nerve to point a finger at you? We won't punish you or report you. Just handle it the best you can. We know Jehovah will take care of everything and if he doesn't? Well, hey, there's always the new system. And there won't be anymore smokers, either!'

Personally, I believe Stark did his interview in a complete academic vaccuum, unaware of how it was going to be chopped up and used.

In fact, I would even suspect the two segments might be lengthaly separated in time. Stark might have done an interview ABOUT Jehovah's Witnesses and, it would seem, other groups too, years ago.

Only the WTS has the gaul to abscond it for their self-promotion. I look forward to finding out that Stark has been informed of how his 'aura' is being used to support their criminal behavior.
