I have always wondered and have asked the same kind of questions and received the answer that it was during the dark period of Christiananity. Doesnt make sinse does it.

Wasted 1900 years for Jehovah???
by free2beme indid everyone else get the impression from the witness teachings, that jehovah basically choose no one for the 144,000 heavenly class in the years from 100 ad to 1876 ad?
if so, did you feel this way because those years were never spoken of, or did the witnesses you know say this?
i personally asked one time, and was basically told that there may have been a few, but for the most part the numbers in those centuries were very limited and most were in pentecost and after russell began his work.

The first 6yrs of my life my father farmed and we made all the meetings and always went out on the weekends. My cousins reg. pioneered and worked their farm, which was alot bigger than ours. The large work load never slowed us down, during harvest time they just make the meetings durning the week later in the evening so they have time to finish and get to the meeting. So some times the evening meetings didnt start till 8:00-9:00 pm.

I can really feel for you!! I have a 20yr old daughter that doesnt drive (and holds down 2 jobs, so guess who gets to drive her there and back? and I also hold down a full time 9hr job!
To top it off she is engaged to a canadian gentleman (non JW, and the shame of it! LOL she met him over the internet!!she was raised JW) that doesnt drive right now (they have lots of mass transet up there in Calgary) he just came down from Canada 2 days ago and my m-in-law is having fits when they are in the bedroom alone even though the door is open!!
to top it all off my family of 4 + the canadian are all living in my 74yr old mother-in-laws house (that really only holds 5 at the max) while our house sells and we can find another one to purchase. (had a nice huge home that we put money down on but lost it 3 days ago to someone that came up and offered cash) There are days that I could just pull my hair out!!!! We do so much for our kids and it never ends, we just keep giving and never get anything back for all of our hard work that we do for them!!!!
Then theres all the rest of life that we have to deal with!! just dont know how we do it all and still stay sane!!!!
Any one ready to go to the pavilion with me! LOL

Has being a Jehova's witness totally shattered your faith?
by Silvia Plath injust because the watchtower society is wrong doesn't mean that there is no god, nor does it mean there is a god.
it would interesting to now how former members have adjusted thier cosmology, or whether they are now atheists and why.
i personally see religion as a more personal matter, rather than belonging to an organization.

No not shattered but it has made me stop and think about what I do believe in.
I´m not sure where my journey will lead me. To a certain extend, I would like to know that. But at the other hand, why would I. There are chances, opportunities in every period of life. You just need to recognize them and make use of them.
Thanks Borgia for this thought.

it has not gone unnoticed at the many people on this site that have documented their fear of the future.
afraid of the present and certainly afraid of the future.

Life is about change and I am changing and so should you. Dwell on the positives not the gloom of destruction, Focus on the light and energy of living. That is the godliest thing you can do…for both your present and your future.
Thank you so much for your post, you made my day so much better and showed me that its always good to look on the bright side of things and never to dwell on the negative.

Outsourced Call Center Frustration
by Bstndance infor the most part i have never had a problem with call centers based in india.
whenever there seemed to be an issue, i chalked it up to a communication issue.
today, however, is a different story.. i booked a trip on delta but my frequent flier account is with continental.
