Is it just me.....
by DIAMOND inis it just me or is it perfectly fine for a brother to take a 3 day or 5 day or 10 day cruise and miss up to 2 weeks worth of meetings and nothing is said.
but if a brother misses a month of sundays to work to put food on the table or make the rent, he is counsled.
does this make sense.

Amazing, Little Toe and others ?

Yea, I miss Little Toe to. We used to talk by e-mail before I discovered this place. He actually started the ball rolling for me since we were both going through the same thing at the same time.
The only difference is now he's out and I'm straddling the fence. I still want to be just like him when I grow up.

I've given my last talk

the only meeting i attend is the sunday meeting.
(so i can still talk to family and friends) well sunday i asked the school overseer if he would please take me off the school.

As you know or don't know I'm in the process of doing that slow fade thing. The only meeting I attend is the Sunday meeting.(So I can still talk to family and friends) Well Sunday I asked the School Overseer if he would please take me off the school. My reason was because of work I could no longer attend the Thursday night meeting. (But we all know the real resason)
Just another step in my fading process. I'm sure the brothers will be stopping by this weekend to have a chat about what is going on.

High school sports
by freedom96 inwhen i attended high school as a witness, i wanted to play on the football team.
i would have been very good.
not only was i not allowed to play, i could not even attend the games, for fear of bad association.. did anyone here give up sports because of being a witness?

When I was in high school. The coach begged me be on the track team. He even had my mother come to the school to talk to him about it. But of course my mother did that whole JW explanation thing and there was no track for me. What a waste.
Years later my brother wanted to join the school band. Being the good little dub that he was my mother told him the chioce was his. She knew he would refuse. Well to her surprise he joined the bad and never looked back. Man was she mad. I love my brother. I could have never done that.

Jobs you couldn't have

I had a jopb offer from a major radio station. The job was primetime working 6-midnight. So you know that means I had to miss the meetings. After talking to the brothers I turned this job down and took a job at a factory (still making decent money but no future). In six months I was laid off. No job and a wife and 3 kids to support. I guess Jehovah really blessed me for putting the kingdom first.
