i've noticed that almost all new kingdom halls are without windows, even in neighborhoods that are quite safe and crime free.
some have said it's because they do not want you looking out and daydreaming.
others have said it slows down the two day quick build miracles by at least an hour.. my mother may have hit in on the head when she said, "when the time comes it will be easier for them to 'gas' you!.
OK we had a KH built about 5 years ago, with the land, and beutiful landscaping donated by various members of the city. There are 5 different groups meeting in this hall.
The point being: No windows was much cheaper to build. Now, whether this is true or not should hold true during the next hurricane, or if the end comes....

i just got back from a trip designed to conquer a fear.
i have always been afraid to camp by myself in the deep woods, and last week i set out to change that.

Ok, so if you have no desire to shoot, what is the point of being out in the woods in absolute fear?
I camped many nights with my family in deep woods. The biggest fear was bad humans no animals. Why are you so afraid? You seem very capable of defending yourself.

I remember a district assembly addressing this "problem" (Probably late 60's early 70's)....one of those 8 day scenerios, it was late in the day and the heat was unbearable. It was one of the most ridiculous talks I had ever heard. A REAL CRINGER!
The gist of it was that if you masturbate, married or not, Tit creates a selfish desire and could cause problems with future mates, or present for that matter.
Yep, real sound advice.

It all sounds like paranoia to me, why don't you get yourself a nice dog?
I'm afraid of spiders and would never put my self in a situation to confront them. I do keep a nice sized container of bug killer near at all times. (Problem solved as far as I'm concerned!)

this evening i was walking one of my doberman's, he is 103 pounds.

out of no where an oversized pitbull charges us from across the street.. there was a terrible fight and i'm screaming help, help at the house where he came from.
Dear Blondie, yes he was on a leash! We go walking every night. It was just so frightening to not have control once dogs go at it.

This evening I was walking one of my Doberman's, He is 103 pounds. He was perfectly behaved at my side. Out of no where an oversized pitbull charges us from across the street.
There was a terrible fight and I'm screaming Help, Help at the house where he came from. Because my dog has on a 2" wide leather collar with spikes, this terror was not able to get a hold of his neck. My dog on the other hand was able to get a hold of an ear and part of his head. I heard screaming and the pitbull finally backed off and ran back to his home. The home owner never came out of his house.
4 neighbor ladies were mortified, and witnessed the whole thing telling me this dog is loose constantly and they dare not walk their own dogs. The police have been called out numerous times.
If my dog had hurt this pitbull, would my dog be considered a danger?
Anyone with any experience with this please respond, I'm still shaking!
