  Unitarian church

  hi everyone, .

  we have a unitarian church nearby and i'm interested in maybe visiting, anyone got any firsthand experience of this particular group, their beliefs, understandings etc.

  My Mother inlaw is a Unitarian, and I think Universalist. I have attended church with her when she visits here. It is a very open, accepting group.

  I found it very interesting. The Orlando group has a lesbian minister, and it wasn't exactly Bible based but it was comfortable and entertaining to say the least. If you attend you will not be hounded to convert and will be treated with respect and a nice welcome. They had a great music program with lots of talented people which is spiritual in its own right. They are also very community oriented, holding sales etc. to benefit those in need.

  My Mom's First Birthday!!!!

  i threw my mom a surprise birthday party this year at a nice restaraunt with all her closest friends and family.

  she hasn't had a birthday party since she was 7 (she turned 47 today).

  she was in the borg for 25 years and this was the first time in 25 years she got to celebrate.

  Beard Question For The Girls Out Of JWD (Guys Can Answer Too)

  i told my wife i wanted to grow out my beard a little longer.

  she said that was fine with her.

  then i mentioned i was thinking of letting it get as long as zz top's beards.

  Just have to add my 2 cents..take it or leave it.

  any man with a trimed beard and mustache is absolutely gorgeous. One of those long out of control facial things is disgusting. All I can think of is the food and spit hanging out in those rugs. I would never want to be kissed, with someone sporting that much hair off of his face.

  How about us girls deciding we didn't need to shave our legs, ....lets just grow it out and see how long it gets! OH GOD! DOES THAT SOUND CRAZY? SO DOES WHAT YOU ARE PROPOSING.

  I love ZZ Top ....but not their facial hair!

  i know there are a lot of threads on evolution and creation and i've read a few here and there.

  how can complex systems arise of themselves in the face of entropy?

  one evolutionist book i read used snowflakes to show this is possible.

  Running my first 5K - Want to come and cheer me on? :D

  on saturday, september 9th, 2006 i will be running my first 5k (3 miles) race in the freedom run (www.freedomrun.com).

  we start running at 8:30 am.

  there will also be a 1 mile walk for anyone who wants to support the cause but is not up to running three miles.

  Just for fun, my mom's 1993 lumina was the last car (before the end) bought new .... which I bought with 20,000 "service" miles on it and I gave it to my son for college and he just sold it ,,,ummm that was her last car before the end. She now has a used Honda with 20,000.00 on it. ....this is the last car before the end which one of my sons willl purchase when they are out of college........you may complete this sentence yourself......

  The end times and big announcements

  for anyone of us familiar with this religion.....we were taught no one knows the day or the hour.

  now should that be a 7000 year day, 1000 year day or 24 hour day, and any predictions concerning this or assuming knowledge of any sort would be exposing them selves as false prophets.. the wbts likely to whip up a frenzy of one sort or another due to clever rhetoric is typical, but all of us "out" know better.

  it usually happens in the fall, ......just like this year.. no one here needs to hold their breath.

  The WBTS likely to whip up a frenzy of one sort or another due to clever rhetoric is typical, but all of us "out" know better. It usually happens in the fall, ......just like this year.

  No one here needs to hold their breath. If we still believe any of it, it was suppose to come like a thief in the night ...any annoucements negates any bible prophecy. Big announcements or "warnings" are bogus as far as I am concerned.

  Well I guess we never ran into cats or bears....but I am a cat lover and they normally do not attack humans.

  Perhaps you need to camp out near the Ocean. Now there is a place that will put you to sleep. Nothing like the smell of the ocean and sound of waves hitting the shore to lull you to sleep.

  Dear Justice One...

  What has happened to just plain camping out under the stars enjoying the sounds of the evening, with a camp fire, the smells of the forest, the night sky and sounds of nature putting you to sleep? We did that for years with my family.

  I am sorry you feel it is such a threat. I have to tell you, I am not an out door person after all these years but still fondly remember the sounds and scents of the forest to fall asleep with.

  Please Don't Turn On The Gas!

  i've noticed that almost all new kingdom halls are without windows, even in neighborhoods that are quite safe and crime free.

  some have said it's because they do not want you looking out and daydreaming.

  others have said it slows down the two day quick build miracles by at least an hour.. my mother may have hit in on the head when she said, "when the time comes it will be easier for them to 'gas' you!.

  OK we had a KH built about 5 years ago, with the land, and beutiful landscaping donated by various members of the city. There are 5 different groups meeting in this hall.

  The point being: No windows was much cheaper to build. Now, whether this is true or not should hold true during the next hurricane, or if the end comes....
