For those who died in old age and are resurrected, will they come back as young people and if so, how would you recognize them? Unless, like someone else mentioned they instinctively know where their relatives are located and just show up at the door.
On a more serious note, will children be resurrected that died before they were born? I ask this because the bible states God knew the person while still in the womb.

people and family who you haven't heard from in ages suddenly start phoning or popping round!the jws just had their district assembly and i said to hubby at the beginning of the month id bet him a fiver his mother would be in touch because the assembly was coming and they'd be told to get inactive ones there to swell the figures.
(hardly has anything to do with us usually).sure enough he had a loveydovey text from her saying she was still at the meetings and missed him, then two elders contact us(though it looks like after what i said they are trying to d'a me, and then my ex best friend calls round this weekend while i was out and then two sisters came round today but i got hubby to answer the door.think he owes me quite a few fivers now don't you!isn't it a bit false though to only bother when they are told to do so?had better find out when the next assembly is due so i can barricade the door and turn the answering machine on!maybe i am just getting too cynical and they are trying to help but just seems funny i was right about the timimg doesn't it?
When you hear this years district assembly is probably the last one, why don't you just come Sunday to hear the main talk.

so i'm riding in a car the other day with a j-dub.
on the radio, i have it turned to a station that plays the occasional christian rock type music.
a song comes on that has lyrics.
When I saw this thread, I thought you meant the JW's music. When I grew up there were no christian music stations that I knew of.
Now once in a while I'm listening to a station and realize I'm enjoying "christian music"....I'm a cronic station hopper.
And just for the record, the song book of the JW's is some of the worst written stuff I have ever heard. It always bothered me ....I swear who ever wrote it was tone deaf.

I remember my dad would start snapping his fingers at my brothers and me. Then there would be an unbuckled belt, and finally outside for a beating.
Seems there was always wailing and screaming punctuating any talk.
I remember an awful lot of belts being adjusted around the KH when we stood for songs.

hello all.. i have always wondered what feelings people have in the hours/minutes prior to getting baptised, the seconds immediately afterwards and then the first few hours thereafter?.
i've never done it, but it seems like it would be a real head f-!.

I just now saw this thread with your question to me.
I do see the paradox you refer to. For me personally I guess it would be considered a leap of faith. Maybe this is simplistic thinking but I believe God who ever he is, was always here in other words infinite. Just like mathmatics you can go negative or positive but there is never an end in either direction. I suppose you will find this amusing.

woodworth, given in 1913, where he admits to be demon possessed.. seems to me those demons came back, as he was the sole editor of the golden age magazine with all their scientific quackery.
c.j., i have been told was the cousin of norman woodworth, who created the "frank and earnest" radio program in the early 1920s for the wts.
Those vows sound vaguely similar to the recent vows at the district assembly this year, I wonder if this is where they got the idea.
It is also fascinating to discover after reading the Golden Age Goodies thread and this one that so many of the thought patterns and beliefs are in practice today with in my own family. For instance the vaccinations. My grandmother was against them and my mother made sure we missed as many as possible.
There seemed to be an obessive hatred of the Catholic Church. Now I know where it came from.
