  Hambeaks Extremely Heartbreaking News

  our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.

  the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.

  he was in a car accident.

  I hate having JW parents.

  i'll try to make this long story short.. in october ... about 3 days before i left for a trip my mother decided to have my cell phone cut off.

  i've had my bill in my mom's name since i was 16 and have always paid it since i was old enough to work.

  but .. out of pure spite, she cut off my phone.

  You are getting excellent advise, I recommend you do what will make you happy. This will be one of the most important days of your life.

  Children of JW parents are confronted with all kinds of problems with this cult, now more than ever.

  I just finished reading a book dealing with this very subject, it is a novel based on true facts, and it is a real page turner with a surprising end. The title is: "In The Truth" by Paul McCool.

  This was the very issue I had to fight when I went back in to rescue my daughter...her ELDER husband molested his older daughter, and my younger daughter....and God only knows who else..... he is still living free !!

  Hi Chica......

  I wrote my true story in hopes to help educate, those that don't know anything about the WTS, (CULT), and to give hope to those that are affected by the shunning.within the WTS, (CULT).

  After some 40 years a member, I resigned in 1983, my daughter remained in the organization, she was married to an elder, who molested his daughter, and my other daughter. At the time, I lived in Calif, and she in Tenn. I suffered deep depression during those 10 years of their mandatory shunning policy that was inflected upon her, which she complied faithfully, despite all my efforts, and the efforts of my family. I decided to rejoin so I could eventually show her their cult-like errors This was a 2 year rescue journey.

  I am sure you will enjoy reading about the struggle I went through with the judicial meeting, proving her husband a child molester, plus the deprogramming of my daughter.

  my brother calls my mom all the time.

  he did some vicious things to her in the past.

  one of her 'war stories' was that she went to the convention black and blue because he had beaten her up (a son to his mother).

  Here are some characteristics associated with Cults. I hope this will help !!

  The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the "TRUTH", as law.

  Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.

  Subservience to the leader or group requires member to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.

  The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.

  The most loyal members (the"true believers") feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave or (even consider leaving) the group.

  Child molestation, and other criminal activity are handled (In House), and are not reported to local (Civil Authorities).

  Do 'Cult Deprogramers' Work?

  there have been individuals who hire so called 'cult deprogramers' to get a loved one out of a cult.

  they sometimes kidnap them and try to get them out of whatever cult they might be in.

  does this ever work, and would it have worked on you as a jw?.

  It varies with individual circumtances. In 1993, after losing my daughter for 10 years to this cult. I decided to rejoin, actually going undercover. It took two 2 years to rescue her, One of the first things I had to overcome, was to prove her elder husband molested his daughter, and my other daughter.

  It took two 2 years to accomplish this, because I used the (planting seeds, & watering them) method.

  I wrote a book about my 2 year rescue story. The title is "Going Undercover To Rescue My Daughter, From The Cult Of Jehovah's Witnesses" By Nancy J. Sage

  Now, our whole family lives a happy and normal life. Yes, we were all once Jehovah's Witnesses, all five of us.

  anyone know merton & olga campbell from bethel,.

  met them years ago at bethel nyc and thought they were an amazing couple - very hospitable and warm... merton i think is quite senior at headquaters , but seemed more liberal than most .. also anyone know olaf stephenson from watchtower farms, was a really nice fella and often wonder what they are doing with their lives today?????.
