i remember the years that i was a witness and dating was so stressful!
i really never dated, because i truly believed that dating was reserved for marriage purposes only.
i used to think i could never attain or hope to attain to the level of perfection that certain "brothers" wanted.
Being a JW gave me low self esteem, regardless of the dating arena.
However, once I quit being a JW, I was really surprised to see how respectfully I was treated by worldly men.
That's not what I was taught growing up, worldly men are suppose to be evil and only want to use you.
JW men treat women like shit and don't even know it.
a bit of background: a young actress in a local soapie was killed tragically a few weeks ago.
the producers of the program which is screened daily, decided to kill off her character.
today's episode revolved aroung her funeral.. now i am a bit mushy and i shed a tear or two whilst watching.

My little one is fascinated by the moon.

Playing along with the game I stood up and started to reach for the sky, as soon as I did that she got a big smile on her face and eagerly waited for me to hand her the moon.
I reached up as high as I could and said uh...uh...uh.
When she saw that I could not reach the moon she burst into tears.
I felt so bad................... I really did want to give her the moon.

1. he'll just blow you off.
2. He will agree with you, shrug his shoulders and drop the subject.
3. He will say, "trust in jehovah" and drop the subject.
I've spoken with a number of brothers and elders about the whole abortion is murder, but the embryo is not worthy of resurrection thing. Adn I hardly got more then a glazed look in response.
The cognitive doissonance is to much, they will have to shut down or think, and we all know wich one a true JW will do.

my life has been mostly pleasant.
i don't have any 5 year plan or anything like that, but i do want to be a mom no later than 34. i am single, no great love of my life, not even someone to like out there at the moment.
I love the idea of adoption, I always wanted to do that.
Unfortuantely I am very fertile and have had three unplaned pregnancies, so my plate has been full enough.
I had my last baby after I turned 40, and was taking birth control pills.
I am so grateful to modern science and the many means of BC we have, at least it slowed down my fertility. Otherwise, I am sure that I would have 14 or so children by now.

it was weird.
Years ago my mother in law was playing in vegas when frank senatra came and sat next to her (I think they were playing poker).
Anyhoo, MIL played it cool and acted like he was no one special. After a while he turned to her and said "Hi Red, How are you" (MIL is a redhead).
She barely glanced at him and said "Oh fine, I just wish all these people would quit staring at me!"
He laughed.

The society doesn't talk about it much, but they teach that aborted or miscarried babies will not be resurected.
Only babies that inhale a bit of air will be resurected.
But of course, getting an abortion is still considered murder.
