by DIM inits amazing what a hold this religion can have on people.
an old friend who used to post here under the handle collegegirl has apparently gone back to the darkside....i'd been seeing evidence of this here and there, so as a test i sent her some very apostate emails (scans of watchtower letters, interesting posts) and today i received the reply "i chose not to read them because i don't want to be bitter".....unbelievable.
is it really easier to be brainless than to stand up for your rights as a human being????

If The Bush Administration Lied About WMD, So Did These People
by George W Bush insince we haven't found wmd in iraq yet, a lot of the anti-war/anti-bush crowd is claiming that the bush administration lied about iraq's weapons of mass destruction.
the story being floated now is that saddam had no wmd (or almost none) and that the bush administration didn't tell the truth about the wmd threat.
well, if they're going to claim that the bush administration lied, then there sure are a lot of other people, including quite a few prominent democrats, who have told the same lies since the inspectors pulled out of iraq in 1998. here are just a few examples of what i'm talking about... .

Matrix Theory - Your input please
by Elsewhere inok... i have to admit that i have been obsessing over the movies the matrix... especially after the second one where some odd things happened.
agent smith was replicating in the matrix, neo was "feeling" and stopping the sentinels in the real world, agent smith copied himself into a human in zion.. now i normally don't obsess over movies... i usually just watch them once and then move on... no big deal.
but this time i have been trying to figure out all of the odd things about the matrix.. i wanted to throw my theories out for everyone to examine and see what you all think.... here goes... remember in the first movie when neo went to see the oracle?

Interesting....I think Zion is a backup program of the Matrix for people who exercise free will (explaining why Neo had the powers "outside" of the matrix). I think Neo may or may not be a machine. This would also explain why Smith was in Zion.

Why did the Watchtower disassociate itself from the U.N. if they ..... ???
by run dont walk indid nothing wrong.. a lot of questions of late regarding the un scandal.. here's my question ................ since the watchtower feels (yeah right) it did nothing wrong and was simply using thew un libraries, why did they disassociate themselves from the un ???.
come on jw's they did nothing wrong !!!!.
but by disassociating themselves they look guilty as can be.. did they cave in to public pressure ???.

Unwritten rules at the Kingdom Hall, what were yours ???
by run dont walk inevery one of us who attended the kingdom hall, must have went through this at some time, and noticed things you were not supposed to do, even though it wasn't wrong.
the biggie at our hall was do not sit in the back row, i always did, what was the deal on that, why put chairs there.
- don't back you car in, someone would go out and check this nightly, ???.

They used to really hate my sideburns, which was puzzling because they weren't really that long....they really hated when i drove past the kingdom hall and honked my horn at everybody and cheerfully waved on sunday mornings....i would go to Borders instead and read Q, Magnet, Rolling Stone and Melody Make and sip my americano. Ahhhh!

by Nathan Natas insomeone using the id "stanmilo" is trying to sell the free wt bs cd on ebay!.
it would be a terrible, terrible thing if someone was to create an ebay identity for the specific purpose of locking up this guy's bids.
it would be even worse if that bidder then gave "stanmilo" negative feedback for attempting to sell stolen goods.
