KM article "How Will They Hear?"
by DB inperhaps this topic has already been addressed, but at last night's service meeting we discussed an article in the kingdom ministry (jan 2001) called "how will they hear?".
it dealt with the fact that there are perhaps billions worlwide who have not yet been witnessed to.
the articel mentioned that the jws "trust in jehovah" (i guess its always the case when they have no answers) that those people, mostly concentrated in asia (especially china and the sub-continent) will have their hearts read by god and that he will know who are righteous and who are not.

the society have now instituted carnivore - their data tracking system installed into the uk bethel to track all apostate email and activity.
the reason is the amount of "leaks" of confidential mail and facts.. they have tried and failed with legal blocking, so now they are plugging the leaks, these guys were brought into mill hill late last year after the leak of the june 1 letter.. their method is to use message boards and chat rooms for the "disaffected" and get them to go to other "society monitored" web sites.

I never had a substance abuse problem, but when I was 15 I experimented with pot. My parents found a tiny 1/8 bag of pot and took me to the elders. I was not baptized at the time. The elders met with me about 3 times @ about 3 hours each time. Reading scripture after scripture at me.....none of this made much sense to me. They kept telling me I was dabbling in spiritism and would die if Armageddon came tomorrow. I couldn't understand this, cause why would God make a distinction between pot and heavy legal drugs such as prozac or morphine? Does God follow US Law? Is God an American? Anyway, they removed me as a publisher (15 years of age, mind you) and I don't think my reputation has ever fully recovered. I was pressured to get baptized the following year. And here I am today...2 weeks from freedom and 25 in July.

by sleepy ini thought it might be a good idea to find out at what age or after how long we descided to leave the watchtower.. prehaps we my find a patern in it which we could use .. i think what we need to know are ,.
1.age you left the watchtower.
(or age you found out it was wrong).

1. found out the truth about the truth when I was 20 or 21. I am quitting meetings in 2 weeks. I will be 25 in July.
2. I was baptized at age 16
3. I've been raised in it since age 2.
