once invited at the KH and saw the use of the bible( which was not done in the Catholic church) i was impressed, they were very friendly and since i always had a hunger for spiritual things they fulfilled it for 30 years even though many things did not jive but I kept on suppressing my doubts.

The internet is what made me realize that it was another dangerous interpretation of the bible.

Mean time lost wife due to "apostasy" on my part after 27 years of marriage. .

i declined appointment to become an elder in two different congregations.

boy, was the elder body and co not happy about that!.

have any of you done so for any appointments (elder, ms, special pioneer)?

They will always look at you as not having enough love for the brothers, selfish, will not leave you alone and make you feel guilty.

Just talking to a publisher who is working hard in the congr. but does not want to be a MS and he is having the same problem.

they constanly make him feel guilty and it's making him very mad.

think about this: if seven times mean only 7 years then daniel could have simply said 7 years.

why does daniel specifically use the word 'times' rather than years?

as we have already shown daniel used the word for 7 times instead of 7 years.

I still would like to know if the Jesus of the watchtower has all the authority in the universe, why all the changes in the last 130 years.

Jehovah gave the mosaic law, 613 of them, very clear and specific of the requirement for 1500 years with no changes.

Why is Jesus constantly changing doctrine, what kind of ruler and king is he?

Just admit it, the GB is just another religion that reads the bible and comes out with an their own interpretation.

They are just like the Pope of the Catholic church that claims to have the true religion.

Just get out of Bethel, life is not bad outside.

Let's say you are right along with the GB about Jesus receiving power,god's kingdom established in 1914 and turning HIS attention to the slave class and using them in despensing food at the proper time.

If this powerful king is in charge why is it that hundreds of books published since 1879 are useless

What kind of king is he that he has allowed the GB to dispense so many falsehoods such as the resurrection in 1925 of the "faithful men of old".

I could give many other examples of the last 130 years of the Jesus of the Watchtower being the leader and in charge and giving the GB knowledge and insight and constantly changing his mind on issues

He definetely does not have a good record as a leader and king. NO POWERFUL KING AS DESCRIBED IN ISAIAH AND THE GOSPEL WOULD BEHAVE IN SUCH A WAY.

ARE THEY REALLY SPIRIT DIRECTED? ARE THEY TRULY IN THE HANDS OF THE KING?

Down deep in your heart after coming on this board you know you have been sucked in like all of us were at one time by the destructive teaching of the GB.

Many JW stay in the organ. even though they know it is not the truth but they stay because they don't have the balls to get out, some stay for social reason, such as family and friends and the fear of losing them.

You are a very intelligent individual, why are you staying in? Is it because of the cushy job you have at Bethel and realize after so many years, it would be very hard to be on the outside?

Down deep in my heart I know in due time you will get out because now you know the " TRUTH IS NOT THE TRUTH"

Why do you think Mormons are more acceptable in society then Witnesses?

mormons think the garden of eden was in jackson county missouri.

they think that american indians are descendants of a tribe of israel that came to america and were turned red from their sins.

they think that jesus appeared to the indians.

They are not actively preaching as the JW, they don't bother people as the witnesses do.Just a few young men are involved in the work.

They don't argue as much and try to shove it down their throat

PRAYING.... Is it the answer to eating disorders?

i found that the article on 'young popele ask....do i have an eating disorder?

' in the awake magazine for october 2006 to have worrying advice in it.. apparantly the answer to this problem, according to the wtbts is prayer!

how did psychiatrists miss this for so long?.

Last night, someone asked me how my wife was doing, I had to tell her that she had left me and moved to a different congr.

She did not have much to say but " well pray about it maybe things will work out"

That gave me a lot of comfort

Judicial committee experiences.

recently ive been doing a lot of research on judicial committees, as my friend is currently going through one, as mentioned here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/118972/1.ashx

i just posted an update.

one thing ive noticed in my research, is that there is no scriptural support to back up the judicial committee system.
