  They probably got paid like bethelites but they always made a few hundred dollars when visiting since publisher would give them envelops at the end of the visit.

  Of course everything was paid for by the congregation.

  I used to wonder when they turned in the expense to the elders at the end of the week and would usually come out to approx. $130, what did they spend the money on since meals were provided for them and they never drove their cars in service so that they would not put on miles on their cars.

  Wife left after 27 years due to my apostasy but at least i get up in the morning and don't argue with anyone. I hope she sees the stupidity of it all.

  i had high speed cable internet for $53 a month with videotron and i just dropped it to their lowest cable speed for $29 a month.. now i can buy an extra case of beer a month .

  you have great questions for the elders BUT keep in mind you might as well be talking to a brick wall, they will not reason, they have specific instruction of what to do with apostate, remeber Satan was an apostate and this is how she will be viewed.

  The principle set forth in Jesus' words at Matthew 10:
  34-38 has a bearing on situations involving disfellowshipped or disassociated relatives.

  Special and difficult problems may arise in relation to social gatherings.

  Loyal worshipers of Jehovah will want to adhere to the inspired counsel at I Corinthians 5:11.

  Normally, a close relative would not be disfellowshipped for

  associating with a disfellowshipped person unless there is spiritual association or an effort made to justify or excuse

  the wrongful course.

  remind your father he has the blessing from GB to associate with you as his own flesh and blood

  Seeker4 is right.

  I've been in cong. lately where 70% are very old JW, old ones are not going anywhere, they will die in the religion. Very few of them know what the internet is all about.

  Pioneers all over the US do not have bible studies and if they find someone to study with, I hear after a month or so it fades. The increase seems still among Spanish speaking cong. but just like the increase stopped in Mexico it will also stop in the US among them.

  The only increase I see, is baptizing young ones from 12 to 18 years old but as one bethelite told me 80% of them fall away.

  Men, women and toilet seat etiquette

  i've never quite understood the big deal about men leaving the toilet seat up but since i hear so much about it i try to comply.

  i do have a pet peeve.

  sometimes when i lift the seat there are obvious signs on the underside that a female has used it and not bothered to 'tidy up'.
