Free at Last, or am I

i have just spent the last 3 or 4 hours reading everyone's posts and i am so thrilled and relieved that sites like this exist which allow us ex jw's to express ourselves.

i feel compelled to share my story, even though it is probably quite unremarkable.

i have this feeling that finally being able to express my thoughts albeit on the web, will finally allow me some freedom!.

i'm wondering, though, how many who got married as a jehovah's witness actually waited for their wedding day?

it's for a "good cause," namely my peace of mind.

a little frustrated...(not in that way)

i forwarded the link to the uk jw donation site to my father a couple days ago as for me, it was christendom at its best - give me cash even when you don't have it.

he probably wouldn't be a jw if it wasn't for her and i am hesitant to say too much to him because of her.

she is a loyal (even though they had to get df'd to get married) .

Your story reminds me of a converation I had with my die-hard dub father a few years ago. I was, of course, trying to show him why I have no use for the wt, and he replied "they may not be perfect, but it's better than anything else out there. I only stay because I believe in the fundamentals they preach".

Fundamentals??!!! Which ones? Last weeks, last years, or tomorrows?

Brainwashed bunch, they are.
