Feeling a little pugilistic today?

Ask that Canadian gentleman if his human rights were violated for saving his daughter's life. Ask those silentlambs if their human rights were violated by insane policies in place for years.

The point is Metatron's observation that the WTBS hypocritically demands rights they dont respect. While cruel enough, I dont equate the splitting of families to rotting away in a Uzbekistan prison. I know what AI's purpose in the world is. Im all for human rights, JWs included.

If the WT was the state religion who is to say where I would be right now?

Hi Imbue,
Please dont misunderstand what I was saying. I am sorry if I wasnt clear. I am all for the fact that Amnesty Intl. goes to bat for the JWs or any persecuted religious or political minority. I feel terrible for them. However, I was just saying that wouldnt it be nice if the WT had to answer for its own human rights abuses from the very organization that it looks to for succor?

Im not saying that would happen given the fact that the WT is not allowed to torture, murder, and put people in prison in a literal sense.

Hey Metatron,

I like the way youre thinking. Amnesty Intl touts itself as an unbiased group seeking human rights for all, but wouldnt it be great if a group of DFed JWs whose human rights had been violated were to do a class-action thingy? LOL

dear fellow posters,.

ozziepost and his beautiful wife mrs ozzie are going through a very tough time right now, at the hands of the wts and its henchmen.

in the space of a few weeks, they have lost their children and other family members due to the unchristian attitudes and pharisaic dogmas, despite having tried to quietly fade away from the wts.

Hello Ozzie and Ozzie's better half.

Ozzie, the only time that the phrase "I know how you feel" means anything to me is if I know that they REALLY know how I feel.

Well Ozzie, I know how you feel brother.
I have walked a mile in those shoes and I wont lie to you, it aint fun. The systems that they have put in place are very effective to ferret out any dissenters.

What could I possibly say to be assuasive?
Also what suggestions could I make for the difficult times ahead?

Please take comfort that you have your God-given soulmate as an ally in this ordeal. It will take time, but with your standing together united on this, an impression will be made on all onlookers. You and your spouse will also draw closer, knowing you two.

Might I suggest that you keep a journal during this time?

My wife's brother-in-law recently contracted a terminal illness and is now going back to the meetings after not caring about "the truth" his entire life (despite my repeated and concerted efforts to reason otherwise with him). Miraculously he still associates with us. In talking with his son, who is not a JW, about his father's sudden spiritual renaissance, I warned him about that religion. He stopped me and said he would NEVER step foot in a kingdom hall, because of how Jehovah's Witnesses break up families.

That is the main reason I have a virulent hatred for the policies of the society.

Please know that you are not alone in your ordeal and that our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

JW Blood Ban Checklist: Can Anyone Help Here?

i was thinking mainly of lee elder, but it seems that that a concise, user-friendly list of the permissible/prohibited blood fractions of current jw policy would be more than a mere convenience... it has life-saving potential!

the mere fact that the watchtower does not see fit to clear the air and print a simple summary of the current blood fraction policy in a ``question from readers'' article or something.. their failure to do so thus far speaks volumes as to how little regard they have for the lives of their drones especially of the children who, in view of the stagnation of the organization, are the society's most promising -- and maybe only -- source of future growth.

brooklyn seems to prefer distributing ``no blood'' cards to the flock and apparently has no interest in clarifying a matter they alone have obfuscated by their confusing and often contradictory rhetoric.
