we have a guy who comes by every now and then selling homemade tamales....those wonderful little morsels of lard...beef, pork, chicken and bean & cheese...i got the beef...and scarfed down uuummmm 5 of them .

One JW I knew went down to South Texas for his brother's wedding. There were about 100 people chowing down on authentic Mexican tamales. Being famished he lit in with gusto. After his hunger was satisfied, he looked from his plate and noticed that everyone else had corn shucks on their plates.
He realized that the shucks werent meant to be consumed. Too late.
The next morning he said he knew what it felt like to go through childbirth!

i popped round to my mothers the other day, not realising she had the book study at her house.
luckily it had almost finished so i waited around.
once finished the elder shook my hand and asked me what i was doing now.
The library card excuse is one of the best examples of "plausible deniabilty" I have ever seen. They use that tactic even better than politicians.

it's been a while since i posted last, even though i probably still suffer with a newbie status, i did some dandy postings a few months back.
my wife and i are now approaching the 1 year anniversary of our split with the wtbts, and are quite happy with our decision.. one thing we did last year was to write to the u.n directly (i think i got the address from a posting here on this site) and asked specific and direct questions about the wts's involvement and knowledge of ngo requirements.
