  They were a message to someone. Whether I know what they were is not the issue anyway!

  Skally, you go girl! I love the way you stick to your guns. I'm like Bill Maher on the TV show "Politically Incorrect", who hates someone who doesnt firmly stick to their opinion. I hope your quest is successful.
  Seeker, I enjoy your viewpoint as well.Your posts are well thought out. I agree that some of those famous subliminals are a stretch. I will say this though, back in the mid-80's, my wife and I were looking at the seductive lady on page 244 of the Live Forever book, I was joking to my wife that it looked like the man was going to score that night, when we noticed the aries plague on the table behind her. I remember thinking, why put that in there?
  MadApostate, the society has mentioned freemasonry less than 10 times in the last 54 years. What a bold and stinging expose of the Masons! LOL. That is one subject they danced around for years. Dont you think that with all of their bibliographical resources they could at least address Russell's use of those symbols? He full well knew what they meant and the message that it would send to the initiated. They are clearly scared to death of the subject! Even their article on secret societies (June 1, 1997 WT) would have been a perfect time to talk about Freemasonry. Dont get me wrong, I'm not dogmatic about Russell being a Mason-I'll keep my feelings to myself on that one. BTW, dont you think you are needlessly abusve of another's opinion? Man, I'd hate to be your wife if you do that at home! Dino

  my wife and i met with 3 elders for a "judicial hearing".. our crime: simply put, was talking.

  i showed a friend the un website where the wts was listed as an ngo which then led to a 2 hour discussion of various doubts that we both have had.

  my wife also showed a friend the un thing but also discussed with her a first hand account of a pedophile cover-up that we knew about in our former congregation.

  Hello Badwillie and wife. What pain and anguish you must feel now that you have experienced their hypocrisy up close and personal. One thing I was not able to ascertain from your post was if the local body of elders had been in close touch with the legal boys in Brooklyn, or if they were handling this action on their own. Might I suggest you contact Silentlambs ASAP because of his own experiences. The WT's hands have been tied in his case because of the negative publicity it would generate.

  The KM of March 1975 Ques. Box says that "a reproof is a congregational expression of disapproval occasioned by a serious wrongdoing that could have led to the disfellowshiping of one of its baptized members if he had been unrepentant".
  My guess is that they have been in contact with legal on this. Do you feel that they observed a contrite attitude on you and your wife's part or do you feel that this was a ploy to shut you up for damage control?
  I asked that question so your response to the body can be a measured one. However it turns out, I hope that things work out okay in getting the rest of your family out. My heart goes out to you and your wife at this time and I admire your courage. Keep us posted and call Silentlambs! Dino

  i'll digress a moment to state that one strong theory that has deeply troubled me over the years, centers around their transformation over a century into a caricaturistic representation of christendom.

  Derrick, that was very powerful. You would also be very pleasantly surprised to know that there are ALOT of dedicated brothers worldwide who feel exactly the same way.I am shaking with emotion after reading that post because of my similar feelings. I dont say this to lend credence to what I am about to say, and I hope that Maximus wont mind, but we have spent time conversing on that VERY scenario! It's obvious to several that what supposedly comes from the GB MUST be originating from another source. Thank you Derrick from the bottom of my heart. Dino
