Another thing to do is get the addresses of as many Mormons as you can. When your provisions run low - do a little raiding.
Considering the Mormons have reconsidered their stance on firearms and self-defense, this might be a very bad idea.

these days the word in most cases tends to conjure up images of wild eyed nuts in bdu's, armed to their teeth....all two of them.. but.....this is just not the case.
more and more people these days are seeing the need to be prepared in at least some ways.

just brings terror back into one's heart all over again as it was replayed before my eyes.. anyone else see this movie?
i know it was a repeat - but first time for me to see it.. jeff
How many saw in real time the second plane hit? I will NEVER forget that. My first thought was a very mad "WHAT THE F%#@!!!" .... we are under attack.
And then the strange days that followed. I remember that the only planes I saw in the sky were a formation of fighters flying a CAP (Combat Air Patrol) over Tampa, and Mc Dill AFB. It was very weird looking up and seeing those birds....knowing the weapons they carried were armed over US soil.

That movie and the real life facts, made me feel good that there are at least a few real men left in the world. No one knows how they will react in a life and death situation, myself included. I can only hope and pray that I would have as much between my legs as these guys did. Who knows how many lives they saved? These men understood something my Dad told me a long time ago...."the only way you can function in battle is to assume you are going to die." These men KNEW they were dead for SURE one way, so anything they did could only help. If these men have not been awarded our nations highest honor, someone has really dropped the ball.
papajohn was just deleted for deceiving all of us and trash talking some kind people.. i don't know how someone can sign on as a newbie, have loving greetings come their way, ask questions and receive well thoughtout answers and then turn like a snake and say disgusting things to those that have wished them well.. i am glad that this mean-spirited person is gone.
i have feelings of betrayal like i experienced w/god's so-called organization.. peace to all of you ones with honest intentions.
and thank you forum assistants for handling it quickly.. juni
I only read a few of his posts -i.e. asking other posters not to post because they disagreed with him. Also he was really on about anti-gun stuff.
I was one of the ones that won the prize there. (Geez, say that fast three times.)
so i've changed my avatar - again!
i don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, i can't seem to settle on one picture for more than a week!
anyway, the current pic' is one of me when i was 7 or 8.. thing is, it's just a facial crop from the one photo i am perhaps more embarrassed of than any other.
Ya don't get worse than this...
Thats why your only supposed to drink with those you trust. BTW, what street corner did they leave you on?
i thought i would open up a thread on firearms and shooting.
personally i was raised around firearms as my dad was not a jw.
some of my earliest memories are of my dad teaching me how to put a round in a fleas ass at 200 meters.
Does anyone here have an M1 Carbine?

And having some cash on hand and a full tank of gas is always a good idea. I hear those ATM machines don't work to good without power. And in a crunch they would run out of money very fast.

Two main reasons....one the Scientology controversy, (can I say that without getting sued by the Scientologists?) and two, Frontsight is being sued by its members at this time. I personally think Frontsight is gettting ready to implode.
WOW.I've just heard about FS from people who've trained there in the past. I didn't know any of this! Of course, since I'm not in the position to be looking at training centers of that caliber (and cost) I haven't looked that hard.
I have more that I could tell you about the above, but you should probably look into for yourself. All I know is that Frontsight seems to use the same tactics as the above referenced church group, and they will sue at the drop of a hat.

Why did you chose Gunsite over Frontsight (as they're in CA like you)?

I only agree with this as long as they know they only have to fear TREADING on us.
Oh of course. I thought this went without saying. But it is good to emphasize this.
