  Finally going to college...

  even though "the end" is so close you could reach out and "touch it with your tonge" i'm going to get my degree.

  i have been inactive for more than ten years, but because of the wife i still go to church (i just can't call it "the hall" anymore, at least in my heart) on sundays from time to time.

  and guess what, when i mentioned that i was going to go to college, i was asked why i would want to do that?

  Thank you all for the comments. I start on the 28th of this month. I have had my books for the past two months, and have tried to give myself a headstart.

  Lets go to the church but stand outside

  i am so sick of this!

  i have a split family, some non-jw and some jw, and ever since i was a young kid, ive noticed this silly fear of entering a church, i remember i must have been about 9 years old when my uncle died and my family went to the funeral, but we stood outside, and even at that young age i remember it felt wrong, like we were disrespecting my dead uncle and his family.

  like ive wrote on this board before, i told my parents when at 15 i didnt want to go to meetings anymore and was never baptized, when i was 18 my great uncle died and at the funeral i went into the church for mass, when it was over i walked outside all the rest of my family were outside waiting, they all gave me dirty looks like i was just caught with a prostitute.

  Yeah JW's have got to watch those EVIL buildings!! - When I used to work for an alarm company, I had to from time to time, go into churches to service their systems. Man did I get a hard time from some of the brothers on this. They told me that I should not set foot inside a church. I tried to tell them that working on an alarm in the basement was a far cry from going on Sunday, but you know how the brainwashed and braindead are.

  BTW, off topic but cool - I was standing on the roof of the Dioses Of Venice (running new alarm cable) watching the Challenger take off. I knew that it had exploded almost before anyone.

  You owe it to both these idiots to report them to their management - at the highest possible level - and explain that you are being subjected to religious discrimination by their employees and that this discrimination is going to have a negative effect on their business because you are going to tell people about it! Then tell your neighbors and write some letters to the local media.

  R Rated Movies

  for those of you who tried to follow the no rated r movies "suggestion", what rated r movie did you run out and get after you decided the society could shove their "suggestions"?

  i was dying to see both matrix movies, so they were the first i rented.

  Even when I was still a semi-good little J-Dub, I did not have a problem with R rated movies. But when it came to my kids, I let them know in no uncertain terms that they were not allowed to watch movies with sex and violence in them....................they had to pick one or the other.

  how many of you have armed themselves?

  i recently bought a high powered rifle and am presently buying a pistol for back-up.

  i have a cross bow, a compound bow, and several swords and knives, in fact i have been collecting knives for some time and have learned how to use them in defending myself and in taking the initiative in learning to defend myself.

  i am quite versed in using both the croww bow and the compound bow, it seems the goverment doesn't want to defend us and just wants to unarm us.

  You'll have to excuse my ignorance in the area of gun ownership as I live in what Justice-One would call a "socialist paradise," a haven for pinko-commie-liberals, aka socal.

  That's ok. I have been around firearms my entire life, and have made it a point to be educated when it comes to firearms laws. California is so far out there, that when I came out here I had to buy a book titled "How To Own A Gun In California, And Stay Out Of Jail."

  Ok, I got a question for all you cats who arm yourselves to the teeth. How fair is it to assume that someone like yourself will exemplify the complete stereotype of a paranoid survivalist? For instance, do you dress in fatigues for no good reason? Mutter about conspiracy theories, pinkos, liberals, illegals, etc.? Do you have tapes of the Kennedy Assassination, or posters of paramilitary groups?

  Hey, BDU's can be damm comfortable. And I don't think you can be a survivalist without being paranoid. BTW, how did you know that I mutter all the time?

  The Bump Key - How to Open Any Lock

  you can get a few keys that are the same types as most locks on household doors, alter them slightly, and use them to open doors while leaving no trace of damage.

  or, you can just buy a set of them online.

  That always helps. BTW when I go on vacation my alarm is wired to something that will just ruin your average bad guys day. - When at least two zones trip on my system, a can of CS (mace) fires, and fills the house with nasty gas.
