MORE INSANE DRIVEL FROM THE NOV 15th WT STUDY

here's another article showing how loving jehovah's only channel in the universe is towards their fellow man.

on page 26 of the november 15th craptower study, there's a lovely study article called always accept jehovah's discipline.

in reality, we all know it's really saying "never question the governing body'sdiscipline".. it's starts out with the predicable "no discipline seems for the present to be joyous but grievous", blah, blah, blah.

Are they preaching the wrong news ??

i found this verse very interesting see what you think.

jesus is not saying to preach the good news of the kingdom, but the news that we need to repent.

mark 1:14 "after john was arrested, jesus went to galilee preaching the good news of god" .

i personally have, depends on your understanding of repentance though.

excellent point covered about their obssesion with demons attacking them , why when they can pray should they fear this.

Also when having a serious medical operation , why do they say to put faith in God to get you through it without using blood.Do they not have faith that God can save/heal them from needing the operation ??

A great tribulation

could the great tribulation be the life led by those who follow christ - and the conquering of the life that is a tribulation ??

revelation 7:13and answer did one of the elders, saying to me, `these, who have been arrayed with the white robes -- who are they, and whence came they?

14and i have said to him, `sir, thou hast known;' and he said to me, `these are those who are coming out of the great tribulation, and they did wash their robes, and they made their robes white in the blood of the lamb; .

The answered prayer

john 14:12 "most assuredly, i say to you, he who believes in me,the works that i do he will do also;and greater works than these he will do, because i go to my father.13"and whatever you ask in my name, that i will do, that the father may be glorified in the son 14:if you ask anything in my name, i will do it" .

i understand that we ask for our prayers to be answered through jesus name as jesus is the amen.many will give a different answer to this question from the trinitarian/non trinitarian viewpoint.jesus says here that he will answer your prayers if you ask in his name.

does this mean it is ok to request from jesus during the prayer.

Its seems reasonable to pray to Jesus or to ask from Jesus as part of our prayers, as he has by his own words been given "all authority in heaven and on earth" in this respect, would the Father mind one asking his faithful Son whom he saw fit to exalt to such a position for help. Isnt showing faith in Jesus also showing faith in the Father and the Holy Ghost.

Hi Narkissos,
i also find it interesting to cover the variant texts, i normally use a NKJV thompson chain reference for that particular reason - as the variants are listed below the text.its one of the many bibles i use, i tend not to use the NWT at all now, As i just recall where i have read differences in the text of that bible compared with others, obviously many translations render words differently. I feel however the NWT oversteps the mark in many areas of translation, and the cross references are in a world of their own and obscure at best.

nicely said, in a bubbly volatile sort of way lol.

i honestly dont understand why people who dont belive in God visit the forum, or witnesses.

I wouldnt visit an atheist/ witness website etc , the only time i say anything to them is if they try to force their views on me.

Can you remember a large book after reading it once or even a thousand times ?????
No, but there is no book I've read that I claim contains all the moral and philosophical authority to declare that I will base my entire path of life on it either. But Christians decide that the bible tells them how to live their lives to be a "good person." Such a person has not read the bible. Or, if he has, he is content with the knowledge that murder and incest, as long as they are sanctioned by god, are ok ways to behave.

So we should be free to invent our own moral and philosophical authority based on your own viewpoints , wonder where we would be if everyone did that, some would consider it fine to kill rape and murder others wouldnt , but no legal system etc as we are all free to do as we please.

reading and understanding are two different things.
