Thats very true, and i think after you research a certain aspect and find its a lie, it inevitably leads to researching more and more. The anguish for those who have spent years of their lives serving a falsehood must be horrifying. Thus it is easy to understand the mixed emotions from people.

it was a sister whom we had known from the first kingdom hall we attended .she broke in to conversation concerning my health !!
asking how i was, this firstly was mightily shocking and secondly not allowed as i am da'd.knowing this sister however ( i will for no reason state that she is the wife of an elder, he being a genuine person whom i wish i could draw away from the lies ) i waited for the true reason of the call.

everything here comes down to this.
A truth cannot ever become an Untruth , with this you must agree.
Therefore all "truths" by the society ( of which there are many - which can be proved by your own literature and its not all old literature ) must still be truths, however you must admit , they are not still truths otherwise none of it could be subject to change, God doesnt change.And if the founders of your religion were involved today they would be disfellowshipped.
if it wasnt truth it was a lie , if you propagate the fact that you are Gods sole channel and the prophecies/truths are lies, it reflects on your God.
thats it my friend, your religion has proved itself a lie.
If you can show us otherwise please do so

I think this discussion in itself shows that the average JW is not at all educated in scripture. Hence the reason they cannot break away from the religion, if you know nothing and learn nothing, your faith will amount to nothing but the service of men.
I used to enjoy reading many publications when i was a witness. However i was always told as a Jw not to read too much or it would lead me astray, especially by the elders.I found it strange being advised by a religion not to read their own books.
I believe truly where scripture states "Keep searching and ye shall find" applies to religions, and that if you truly search the scriptures and search for God, Hewill lead you out of the oppresion and rules of men,So the truth can set you free.
