How did you feel the first few meetings you missed?
by Mysterious infor those of you that regularly went and never stayed home sick, etc.
how did it feel when you first started staying home from meetings?
was it weird watching shows on tv you always missed, or not having to worry about rushing dinner to make it on time.

It was weird for me. I was married to the idiot on the fast track to being an MS and of course ditching me helped his chances, lol. We went to all the meetings including going to dinners with elders so a proper amount of butt kissing could be applied.
So way more meetings than a person could handle to zero meetings. For me this was done in a short period of time.
When I left the meeting with the elders I knew I'd never return. My husband and I had just split up so I resigned myself to huge changes ahead and not attending meetings was a wonderful step. -

How much should a married woman show?
by greendawn indo you think a married woman should go out provocatively dressed?
some of my friends accept it some don't and one had big arguments with his wife about the issue until the time when he cunningly got her to become overweight something that spoilt her good looks.
think of it, a married woman going out wearing tight shorts showing so much leg and buttocks and a top that reveals too much breast, as if almost saying "i am going out to entice some men", should a dignified husband accept that?

Back when I was a "sister" I dressed pretty much the way my then husband wanted me to dress. I'm slender and he wanted me in tight clothing. I liked dressing pretty. Of course I got hauled into the backroom where the brothers spoke with me about my dress.
When it came time for the witch hunt my style of dress was brought up and it certainly didn't help matters that I had a history.
Now of course I am able to dress how I please.
This is a good thing isn't it :) -

This seemed like a likely place to introduce myself. I live in Oregon and was disfellowshipped a couple of years ago. I never went back to meetings and I don't intend to go back. Recently I found myself doing a search for witness forums and came across this one right away. Anyway I'm taking on life head first and making new friends as I go. It wasn't easy at first because, as I'm sure most of you know, you lose a lot of friends when you leave, or get given the heave ho. Anyway I'll try to check in here every so often to keep up with things. Keeli

Just saw SUPERMAN!!!!!!
by Dune ini looked through active topics so i hope noone else posted about it (sorry if someone did).
anyway, incredibly good movie.
the first trailer was awesome, but the second trailer kinda turned me off, but the movie was extremely well done(the guy who directed x-men 2, directed this movie, so not surprised).

I loved it. What a hunky Superman. Those blue tights didn't leave much up to the imagination.
