I say, if you want to hang out in San Diego and enjoy some lazy beach culture, that's fine. If you want to see interesting things, then 2 days at most will get you everything worth seeing.
If you're going into Mexico, I recently came back from Guanajuato. It was a beautiful city, very cramped though...

They convienently avoided that in this new article...I guess the official stance is, yes, they still hold to that belief, because nothing has been printed to suggest otherwise (that I know of).

One thing I notice about GW is that because you don't have to pay, you get a lot more stupid people...
I can appreciate the whole "instanced world" concept so your kills aren't ganked, but it just makes me feel so alone. WoW, even with the ganking, had this feeling of community. One thing I do definitely like about GW, is that if you want to go somewhere, there's no downtime. Just go. You don't have to worry about hopping a flight to here, or a ship to there, etc.

I used to play it, but then I got bored with it, and I wasn't interested in getting to know the more hardcore people....
I have Guild Wars now, which is fine because even if I don't play it for awhile, I'm not charged or anything.

how many just stopped believing in the jw predictions/description of what armageddon is all about?
ive met exjws that stopped believing in everything they were taught and ive met some that stopped believing in everything except armageddon.
ive heard comments like: boy wont they be surprised when the day comes and they find out they arent the only ones surviving.
My hope is that the whole world will become like the Mad Max trilogy, specifically the second one, The Road Warrior. And I think humans will be the ones to cause it.

a casual look around reveals a box of "narnia" tissues on my desk, 12 or 14 non-witness translations of bibles on my shelves, many non approved novels [wifey's] on the reading table, plenty of 'apostate literature', a book or two on meditation, a hypnosis cd for weight loss, prob many toys that are not witness approved in the g-kids room, a half eaten birthday cake, a birthday balloon, xmas wrapping paper in the closet , a couple of r rated movies, music that is not acceptable.. that is just at first blush.

Signs of apostasy? None in my house.
Though if an elder or C.O. found the computer in my room that has a wireless connection to the router downstairs (broadband connection), they most certainly wouldn't like that. For all the things my parents have denied me in the way of entertainment, or restricted me on in the past, having the internet in my room has made up for it in spades. Hell, they didn't even find out I had the internet on my PC until I slipped up! And even when they confronted me about it, I just told them it was my decision and that I would accept whatever consequences there would be for having it. To this day, I can't believe they bought that.

according to the witnesses, the church fell into apostasy sometime after the apostolic era, and the truths of the bible were restored only in the late - nineteenth and early - twentieth centuries in their religion.. if this is so, we would expect to find some record of a religious group in the second or third century with views resembling at least somewhat of the jws.

As I recall, Barbara Anderson was tasked with finding proof that there was an unbroken string of people who had beliefs close to ours throughout the Great Apostasy...
