You see, Witnesses believe that if anyone who is still "on restrictions" i.e. recently reinstated, aren't good enough to help out at Kingdom Hall builds. While they will happily take Bill's filthy money to help out with the Worldwide Work and the Kingdom Hall Construction, Bill's actual time and expertise (of infinitely more value) is worthless to them.
They do this for two reasons: One, they believe that this kind of service is a privilege, a reward to be reserved for those who are "spiritually approved." Two, they honestly and truly believe that the Holy Spirit will flee the scene if it's not completely spiritually pure.

okay, well my mother called this evening and was all emotional about her one day assembly.
i was shocked she brought it up, as we just do not mention the religion anymore, but lately little things keep getting said at her conventions and assemblies that seem to be making this line something she wants to cross more these days.
what she brought up, was something i had not heard mentioned on here and i wanted some insight from people who actually heard it or knew more about it.
A cousin of mine told me her parents are completely fired up and her 72 year old mom will be pioneering in October. Her mom said they are expecting major persecution after the tract is out and this will finally be it.
Right...the only persecution will be in the form of the hungover lad who barks at them to "go bother other people."
Unless persecution comes in the form of rolling eyes and heavy sighs () now??

But that's exactly the point, Gregor. Any concerned dub would wonder how things would happen in the New System TM , but the old standby like you said is "Jah will provide." Therefore any problem or concern can be explained away without a second thought. So any question about rotting corpses, or how or where to clean up buildings, is replaced by "Jah will provide." No thought needed, no logic required. Much like WTS doctrine anyway, eh?
It is also implied that, much like the pictures, we would return to an agrarian existence. I figured we would live like the Amish. So there's no need for electricity, the outhouse becomes the sanitation, and there's no need for phones because there would be an eternity to spend visiting people.
