Hi All;
And thanks again for all the wonderful posts. But my reason for beginning this post/thread was because the elder deliberately had to coach the "friends" not to applaud. Is this Borg protocol? He,(The Elder) is notorious for doing this. Plus he has no children. And the person was just a young teenager with the hormones running wild.The whole thing just wreaks "the spirit of meaness" not love.

had a reputation of really trying to get elders removed and then he'd gloat about it at the congregation meetings.

How I Became a JW
by philo inwhen i began to study with jws, i deluded myself into believing i was pursuing truth, when i was pursuing a closer relationship with my dad.
i suppose keeping him happy by joining his new club didn't seem cool to me as a teenager, when i was meant to be rebelling from his authority.
but having had so little to share with him emotionally, or intellectually for most of my upbringing, this seemed too good an opportunity to pass up.

reappoinments to elder or MS after a move...why?
by chester inthis may have already been discussed in this or other forums and i may have missed it.. in another thread chipster mentioned something about coming up for reappointment after a move.
especially if i was coming up for reappointent after a move.
it has always been a puzzle to me why a brother should have to be reappointed to his position after he moves to another congregation.. i have never heard anyone complain about it.

One reason for the delay, is the bullshit "letter of recommendation" that follows someone wherever he or she may go. I hate that arrangement. It really sucks how they getaway with that.
