I LOVED Alexadre's Brother Frederic!
My daughter [so proud of her] works with Austistic younger children both in the Vancouver school board and privately and this reminded me of her.
More Gold for Canada @ CTV.com the local Vancouver Canada tv station coverager. they even have a cool iPhone app to let you track the proceedings in realtime....when you're supposed to be working hahaha

and everybody up North here are in full swing preparing for the 2010 Olympic Games.
Enjoyed all the posts this year.....from all...but especially Mr. and Mrs. Flipper, Jeff, Purple Sofa, Blondie, OOMPA, Billy the EX B-Lite, Lady Lee, Barb Anderson and of course a fellow 'Canuck' Outlaw....love to meet you all sometime!

I was the magazine 'servan' [ms] for several years after the donation 'arrangement' came in.
very few ever donated at the counter when picking up that trash,,,,,come to think of it neither did I.
I think that my family thought that I did all the donating myself by cash but in reality there was only the odd ten or twenty dollar bill that I gave my small son or daughter to jam in the box at an assemby....then even that stopped.
I hated to clean out all those unused mags that used to pile up all over my house every six months or so....just all fodder for the re-cylcling bin. What a waste of good Canadian trees.

How much does an individual copy of WT or Awake! cost?
by Open mind ini'm not talking about the incalculable cost of wasted lives, etc.. i'm mainly thinking about actual out-of-pocket accounting cost to the wtb&ts.
raw materials, labor (yes labor, it's not quite free even though some seem to think so), utilities, shipping, etc.. my gut says about $.30 us.
but i have crunched no numbers nor done any research.. anyone else?.

My family of four used to order so many of the rags and then they just piled up in the basement until i took all of them to recycling......save a tree!
I never paid hardly a penny for them for them after the donation thing came in.....[I was the literature 'servant' them HAHAHAHAHAHA]
After i was 'removed' from this priveledge I still paid nothing.
As another poster stated every little bit helped.
