Did anyone know Fred Curry? He left Bethel in the 90s, injury, went to live with mom.
Scott Zeida? Bethel all his life until ditched out into the real world when his wife got pregnant.
Richard Suaong? I think he is still there with wife - his stepdad is a GB, his brother I think is on his way out, if not already out - he's an author and a really nice, smart guy.

Reading the NIV, or any Bible not translated by a demon-led translator, it sure does sound like a Trinity doesn't it? These three are one or and the Word was God (John 1:1), or Phil 2:5,6 - our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in very nature[a] God. Sure does huh? Make ya think?

To Catch a Predator
by pratt1 ini am sure that everyone has heard of the dateline eposides of "to catch a predator".. it's pretty disturbing to see so many men who appear to be normal, are caught trying to solicit a sexual relationship with a minor.. i have 2 questions for you posters.. 1. do you consider the tactics of the dateline show entrapment?.
2. since several caught are from cultures that allow and often encourage adult men to marry much younger teenaged girls, should these men be charged with lesser charges?.
3. in you go back 50 years in you own family's history, where there marriage unions between an adult male and a teen aged girl?.

The child abuse dilema?
by Fisherman init is felt in my opinion, that there is no one more dispicable than a person who sexually abuses a child.
such behaviour brings outrage towards the abuser and feelings of compassion and pity towards the child victitim to individuals such as me, who feel that children should be protected and guided, so that they can prosper and flourish.
helping such a victimized child begins with rescuing him or her child from the sicko and punishing that monster severly so that potential molestors fear and never start, and active ones stop, hopefully, and it also gives compensatory justice to the victims, the child and the devastated parents.. sadly though, many child abusers are parents themselves or other close relatives of the child, indivuduals whom the child loves and trusts.

It is not a web page per se - it is a Google Ad - they go with all our posts. Don't worry about it.

For you "sisters" who married in the "Truth"...
by Frequent_Fader_Miles injust a poll question.
at the first convention/ assembly following your wedding ... did you parade around the convention site gloating in other sisters' faces, showing off your new husband?
i've never done it, but i can't help but suspect that others do.

Yeah. And I would be very proud to flaunt my "worldly" husband at a KH / Convention now. LOL - complete with cross necklaces.

My Life after Bethel part 3
by new boy inwe started attending the wakefield r.i. kh after the marriage.
at the first meeting i went to, "buddy" weber came up to greet me.
he had left a very good job in seattle (he had his own radio talk show) and was now a janitor, living were the need was greatest, at the time r.i had the worst publisher to normal people ratio in the counrty 1 to 1600. i'm just standing there listening to him as he is giving me the "what he has done for jehovah story" what his "spiritual credentials" are, how wonderful his kids are, were they were pioneering, how he had givien up a good job so he could serve the lord my cleaning windows in rhode island............because the end was coming soon in 1975, just a few months away blah blah.......blah.......it reminded me, so much how the jws love to martyr themselfs and how much they say "we are all equal".......but on the other hand, they love poistions, that deep down inside they believe that some are really better then others and that they are working there way into the "new system".

Seattle Radio, TV Personality Justus “Buddy” Webber Dead At 82
Justus "Buddy" Webber, a Seattle radio personality and television show host in the 1960s and '70s, has died at age 82.
Webber, known for his ability to avoid verbal pitfalls at the last second, died of pulmonary fibrosis.
Webber began his radio career in Indianapolis, and later worked in Omaha and then at KGO San Francisco for four years before becoming the morning drive announcer on KVI Seattle in 1959.
"He had a rare talent," former KVI PD Jack Macdonald said. "Buddy would start a line on the air and he'd get to a point where it would be disaster, and he would just stop there and leave it right in your head. "When he was talking about the weather: 'Oh, boy, it's cold out today, it's as cold as the balls (pause) on a pool table."'
Webber later moved to KOMO Television as host of the Buddy Webber Show on a set resembling a small house with a stuffed moose head that made smart-aleck remarks.
Baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1963, Webber left broadcasting in the early 1970s to join a ministry in the Canary Islands.
Webber's wife, Betty Heck, died in 1995. Survivors include his wife of eight years, Carol Jensen; a daughter; three sons; and a sister. -

They do lie. My ex wrote in court documents that they do not shun. I reported back and quotation page and paragraph from the publications. LOL - the judge had a field day with that one.

If most here R anti jw why bother writing mean hurtful and prejudges posts?
by ayhra inif most people are anti or ex jw why bother if you dont believe in it why waste your time writing mean hurtful and prejudges posts and set up a entire web site and forum dedicated to them.
its a religion not a cult and people write about jw's as a whole everyone is an individual and just like the rest of the world there are nice caring people as well as bad awful people.
jehovah witnesses dont set up web sites saying and exploting awful things that non jw's do to them, such as teasing bashing raping even murder..

I have been greatly encouraged by this forum in my struggles at recovery from JW. Of course, there are nice people in JWs, just like everywhere. I would love to help these nice people to find freedom and love in their lives, as it is very difficult to be one of JWs and not be depressed and struggling (even though you may not see it on the outside with your aunt). Helping a woman leave an abusive domestic situation is not the normal course for these people - in fact I have seen the opposite many times.
As to being a cult, yes they are a cult. For more information on this:
http://www.goodcathinfo.com/ccarchdefncult.htmI don't think we are hateful for the most part - of course enduring and surviving the abuse we have been through, it is understandable though.
I hope you stay, Ahyra, and get some more information. God bless!
