Who is going to finally expose the WTS for what it really is?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe walls of the wts are finally being cracked but nobody is breaking down the walls.we have the internet exposing all their lies, elders resigning,no new members beside families being baptized, contributions dwindling, teens leaving in droves, and layoffs at the wts headquarters .still, the walls remain intact.the 800 lbs.
gorilla is missing to break down the wall.. we know in 1975 many members left but the wts wall was easily repaired.who will finally break the walls down and how will it happen?
what will it take for a mass exodus?.

Why is Europe more liberal then the United States?
by free2beme ini have wondered this for awhile and can not figure out why.
any ideas?
apparently being liberal does not lead to an economic power house, but it does lead to a lot of hatred of the united states in these countries.

fifi40: I love your list!
About this topic: I would like to give an American perspective.
I agree with the posters who said that Americans in general don't know what is going on in the rest of the world. I have Arab friends who tune in to Arab TV by satelite in order to know what goes on in their countries. I know others who tune in to the BBC to know what is happening in Europe. But, could this not be said of everyone? Do Europeans in general know what is going on in the States (other than the silly remaks the current president makes)? Aren't we all more interested in what is close and familiar to us? I don't mean this as an excuse for the total ignorance of many Americans, just as an example of human nature.
I do fell that many Americans don't think "globally". Many have no idea of how different life is in other countries. Others think the "American way is the only way", and are critical of anything "foreign". Some are worse than others; some texans are fond of saying: "everything is bigger in Texas", and they think bigger means better. And I realize that when such ones travel to other countries they bring these attitudes with them and cause much resentment.
So, I guess what I am saying, is that your biases are founded on some fact. However, remember that while the attitudes of the loud and obnoxious may be easier to spot, there are many other people in this country who are well educated and have different sensibilities. We all need to learn to be open minded and not to judge based on stereotypes.

Is it normal to love a spouse more than your child(ren)?
by unbeliever ini was watching this show in passing and they had a woman on there that said she loved her husband more than her children.
she said by putting her husband first it made her marriage stronger and happier and therefore it made her a better mother.. i did a double take when i heard that.
i don't think it is normal to love a spouse more than your child.

The love I feel for my husband and children is strong but different. If ever faced with a life or death situation, having to chose between my husband or my children, it would be a terrible thing, but I would have to chose the kids. I would hope that my husband would do the same if he were in the same situation.

Just bought a NIV- whose name should I call on, Jesus or Jehovah?
by becca1 ini'm reading romans currently and as a life long witness and nwt reader i've always read romans 10:13 as "anyone calling on the name of jehovah will be saved'.
niv says "jesus" and the context seems to suppoet this quite clearly.
could anyone please comment on this??
