I need some quick info
by JimWood ini need some quick info, i really dont have the time to do it all by my lonesome self.. i need examples, in the bible and in the wt publication, where lesser ones are glorified for ratting out their leader or such.
i hope im making this clear enough, when posed with the un thing our family is hell bent on who are you to question.
so i think i will only get one more e-mail to give some (hope a lot) of examples to where we are all required by god to keep each other on the straight and narrow, regardless of position.. thanks all,.

I love Emily Dickenson-a true INFP.
I also like Edith Wharton. I identify with a quote I read once regarding her. It started with:"She took nothing calmly". Me in a nutshell.

Your opinion: Are those raised as Witnesses more likely to end up godless?
by under_believer inwas thinking about this the other day and wanted to get your (yes: your) opinion.
i find myself slipping farther and farther down the agnostic scale in my thinking--it's possible that i'll end up an atheist.
my suspicion is that because i was raised being taught that all other religions are false, that i came to the conclusion that if the witnesses don't have "the truth" then nobody does.

Personally, had I not been raised a witness I don't believe I would have become one. I don't feel a need to worship in a traditional sense. Whether this is my core being speaking or the result of deep dissatisfaction with my upringing, I'll never know.
As for the future, as I continue to fade further form the WT, I don't see myself ever joining another religion. I have purchased some other Bible translations to refer to from time to time but I don't feel a need to delve to deeply. I do believe in a creator and I keep an open mind as to how world events unfold.
I do try to live by the "golden rule" and I aspire to develope good quilities like the fruitages of the spirit, but I attribute that to life experience and the desire to better myself each day. Is it religion? Who knows...

Yippee! I just became a "junior member"! I'm not a newbie any more! I hated being a newbie, even though I once had a dear friend by that name.

I find it amazing that after seeing the proof of involvement with the UN elders don't see the writting on the wall. It is proof to me of being brainwashed. How basically good and even sometimes intelligent people can't see they are being deceived. I've said on here before , my dad has a genius IQ, but he thinks the Society must have "their reasons". Why don't they tell us "their reasons"? Is that not more proof that they got caught red handed? Is not the only right thing to do , according to their reasoning, do get away from them as fast as we can?
Be proud of standing up for what is right. I know this must be very painful, but you did the only right thing.

Life goes in cycles. Some are good, some not so much. You're in a funky one right now, so the next one has to be better. Hang in there for the good times.

Simply say that if he were on your way you would love to help him, but since he is not, there is no way you could do it and get both of you there in time.

Fader blues

lol.. i've been feeling rather hassled lately.
living my life away from home as a fader and getting unwanted calls from my folks.

24 k is right. You can't fade if you pretend to go to every meeting. You have to start conditioning your family to the fact that you are slipping. Yes, they will hassle you ,but it's better than loosing them all together. Hang in there. Take care.
