I am most definitely not an apologist. However, I don't think not believing in the org. anymore gives one "carte blanche" for rude and vulgar behavior.

My letter to the "Glorious Ones."...
by Justice-One ini thought you guys might get a hoot out of this letter that i just mailed..... dear elders (or should i call you glorious ones?).
you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can never fool all the people all the time.
and you certainly do not have me fooled anymore.

Just wondering...why did you send it to your body of elders and not the GB? Don't you think they are just as deceived as the rest? And also, why did you stoop to using foul language? Don't you think that would hurt you if they ever realized it was you who sent it? And just suppose they never suspect you but they think it was someone else, maybe someone totally clueless in your cong. Wouldn't you feel bad if you got another person in trouble?
All in all, I just think that was a very childish and thoughtless prank.

How Clean is your House?
by morty inhow clean is your house?.
i just love this show.. kim and aggie run into some pretty disturbing homes i must admit.
i am certainly not on the list of the most disgusting homes but, dont have the most organized house on the street..... i like cleanliness in all parts of my home( cat litter empted, dishes cleaned, bathroom area very sanitary, floors cleaned, carpets vacuumed, garbage emptied if full, candles burning, the furniture and carpet deodorized daily, the dog has to be bathed regular, ash trays dumped and cleaned every time i finish smoking in the back room, and finally, the supper dishes must be done before i go to bed... i could not give two sh*ts if the bed did not get made properly, the kids room has dirty laundry on it or all their junk, they dont have their beds made every day, the computer desk has bills/papers lying on it, the cats/dogs food runs out of dish, there is a cob web up in the corner of the living room, ( thats a great decoration for this time of the year anyways...lol) the wires are showing from the t.v and dvd player, there are a few pairs of shoes at the door at not put away on the shoe rack, there is a coat on the back of a chair instead of hung up, and the pillows and blankets are scattered all over the couch for comfort (at night only, not during the day unless it is the weekend).

Purps: you're right about it being easy if you pick up after yourself. I've always said "I don't clean, I keep things clean".

My house is pretty clean and organized. Clutter stresses me out and I can't relax in a messy room. I never leave dirty dishes in the sink. If I don't make my bed in the AM because of being in a hurry it bugs me all day. I put things away right after I finish using them. I clean up as I cook so when dinner is done it's spotless. I tiddy up the living areas before I go to bed, bacause if I wake up to a messy house it can ruin my day. I am actually less obsesive now than I was twenty years ago. I do get behind on laundry, I sometimes have piles of clean but unfolded clothes in the guest bedroom. I hate to fold clothes.

I too would like to welcome Dr. Zhivago. I just finished reading that thread about the anointed. How come it got lost?
Anyway, if I had seen it when it was first posted I would have replied to it because it's a subject that really interests me. So I hope you don't mind but I am going to post my comments on it here.
As a little girl, my parents had a lot of association with missionaries that were of the annointed. My mom learned the truth from one of them. She was probably the only "normal" one I ever me t(the anointed sister, not my mom).. All of these were pre-1935. All were extreemly zealous about the truth. A couple were a little batty but sweet. Others were harsh and demanding. I remember being uneasy around them. One in particular was very critical of everything and everyone and was always getting into arguments with another one who happend to be my dad's good friend. He was a real charachter but totally self absorbed.
One particular couple were particularly feared. They were in the circuit work and and when they came around some of the friends hid their TV's before having them over for a meal. They were very critical about TV viewing. The husband was the brother of a GB member. He ate raw onions and lemons with every meal. He made his elderly, sickly wife wash their clothes by hand to aclimate her for the great tribulation.
Those I've known of the post 35 group were odd as well. One is an elder in a nearby cong.Several families moved to our cong because they could not get along with him. One was my husband's aunt who was as wacky as the come. She went "apostate" before she died.
I agree with Blondie that we have many kookie ones in the "great crowd" as well. But as they said in Spiderman : "with great power comes great responsibility". So the anointed are looked up to and examined by others and what they do seems to stand out. Anyway, if the ones I have know are a true representation of our future government officials, I would be worried.
