i have to confess, i am addicted to old soppy songs, i guess i'm just an old romantic.

just wondering what your favourite love songs are, mine are a bit wet but i will post it anyway lol!.

Nvrgnbk - The Open Your Eyes song is great, never heard of them before but the singer has a really beautiful voice (that particular videos good too)

DJK - I used to like Richard Marx too, Right Here Waiting and Hazard were my favorites

Lonelysheep - That JohnnyCashandJune song had some really sweet lyrics in it - 'Your smile is the sun come to earth for the day' how lovely is that!

FedorE- I can't actually bear Abba myself (sorry!) but that Leona version is v good, what a lovely voice.

Watson - I like The Other Me out of Paul McCartneys best i love that song!

And i am going to mention yet another one (which brings my contribution to about 20 now i expect lol) and say Chris de Burgh Lady in Red aww

My husband and I delivered our DA letter last night. . .

that is, letter of disassociation and denunciation, i like that word.

.in person in the door of one of our ex-elders and via email to him and a few others.

there was an added level of peace in doing that, which neither of us expected.

Congratulations to you both, i know how you feel, it actually took me a month between writng my d'a letter and posting it as it seemed such a big thing, but the moment it was done it was like a mountain of guilt and frustrations had been lifted off my shoulders! Don't forget though that we are here for you if you get 'tough' days. xx

Nosy questions for the Americans

following on from the thread the other week with questions for the brits, i thought i'd ask a few i'd like to know about you, just call me a nosey bag!.

1. as you don't have nhs, what happens if a sick child was in a medical emergency, is there a charity that covers them or will treatment sometimes get withheld if there is no insurance?.

2. what accent does nicholas cage have?

just wanted to let you know that i hope things go well for you both with the bi-polar treatments and so on.. i had mentioned that i would try to be there for you guys if you needed help since i'm bi-polar and i understand a bit.. unfortunatley, it looks like i'm done with jwd.. i can't take it anymore.. it is tearing me up and has become toxic for me.. i have been feeling this coming for a while.. i won't be checking pm's or anything.. i wish you both the best.. please take care of yourselves!.

LDB why not take a short break though you'll be missed while your'e gone. When things were all too much i didn't post for about a month, but had to come back to see what you were all up to!Honestly it did help me and when you feel ready to come back we'll be here for you!x

Sorry if i haven't replied to everyone but its 6am and i'm not quite with it yet!

I find it really interesting that most can't tell a difference in Brit accents, as to us they sound so different. Also don't you all have your own regional dialects? Cos someone like Lloyd Grossman (from Boston?) has a really different accent to say Elvis!

Anyway if ever any of you visit England i will treat you to fish and chips and cook you a roast!(And no i won't force you to eat the sprouts lol!)

Recommend a car

i hate cars.

they just cost money and eventually rust away.. however, given that it's pretty difficult to do anything without one in north america and that we now need another because angharad got a job (yay), does anyone have any good suggestions?.

Hubby has a Ford Focus he really loves it i guess compared to other cars it seems cheap (though it still seems alot of money to me!) it has been really reliable and very good for braking, road handling etc and very comfy. I have a Ford KA, probably best if your'e little like me and if you don't need to get much in the boot!

"Evil Laugh"

just wondering if anyone else has aquired the "evil" laugh after they stopped being a jw?.

few months ago with-in my family (the non-witness side) i confided about many of the things i have come to learn from this site and other sources.

being as some familys do, word got around about my "apostate" thinking.

That's really funny. I don't think i have an evil laugh, more of a giggle but i am certainly doing alot more of it since i came out!!

KW13 'Well i passed the due date dobbie and i didn't hit her lol' hee hee wait til labour, it might be the other way round!!!

Will have a listen to the songs in the morning, its quarter to five in the morning here and i think if i start playing music now hubby might get a little bit cross lol!
