if they are just saying there MAY not be conventions next year,etc it doesn't mean anything, its not like saying there definately won't be.Then if people get all excited about it but start grumbling when there is one nxt yr they could do a 1975 job on them all and call it people misinterpreting them.Why don't they stop doing this,they say only god knows when it will happen and that it will come as a thief in the night, so it wouldn't happen bfore the next dc because they'd b expectin it!Does that make sense?!

I like to know whats happening in the org and what they're saying now, just to convince me more than ever that its all not true!I still get the mags pushed through the door every couple of months but for the first time no one picked us up a copy of new book released at the assembly.Probably full of the same old stuff though they must surely have some new light soon cos at least the poor things at the hall will have some different material other than the same old stuff - the end is coming, jesus v satan, the world conditions getting worse blahblah!

When i did used to go out on the ministree(not v often i admit) i only used to offer mags and as soon as they said no i'd go, but i remember i used to cringe when the other person iwas with just would'nt take no for an answer, and would make us stand for another ten minutes in the cold trying to push views, lit etc on the poor person at the door.Why do it?!Yet i was the one looked down on for not using the reasoning book and basically being nosey.I used to hate it when people would keep on doing return visits when it was obvious the person was just trying to get rid of them, or were hiding behind the curtains!Funnily enough i do that now if i see one of them trying to visit, somedays i won't even answer the phone in case its them.

by Annie Over inwhen i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.
it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.
i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

Children and school assembly
by dobbie inmy little child in the uk starts school soon.
i wasn't brought up a jw and am inactive but there are lots of other jw children going and apparently are'nt allowed to go to school assemblies.
i can't remember anything wrong with school assemblies and i think it's daft to keep my child in a separate room while its going on.

Hellrider hi sorry if i was a bit ratty got everyone on my back at the moment.There is no way i'm going to jump when the elders tell me to, i want to put my children and family first before anything.Keeping them back from assemblies must make them stand out like a sore thumb from the other children, its unnecessary i cant see whats wrong with other activities after school either.Its stupid cos i want 2 look forward to my little one starting school but i know troubles gonna start as soon as the other parents report me. Oh well, at least it'll all be over and done with and we'll all be free of the rubbish that is the wts!
