Should Britain Build a £100m Mosque for the Olympics?

a poll is being taken by the british newspaper "the evening standard" as to whether or not britain should invest 100m in a new mosque for the olympics.

i have to admit i'm a little confused as to why folks would desire to have their tax money invested in paying for a religious building, given that religions are already tax free.

i don't see a similar offfer to build a new cathedral, synagogue or hindu temple, nor would i want to.

What Are Proofs That JWs REALLY Don't Believe Their Own Rhetoric?

jehovah's witnesses talk a big game but in reality they are filled with hot air.

they say a lot of things but don't always back it up.

for example, jws are told that meeting attendance is of paramount importance but the truth is anytime a meeting might be called off due to inclement weather, jws would anxiously wait by the phone from their elders saying the meetings were being canceled.. jws tell everyone that their preaching work is a "life-saving" work but the truth is they don't utilize the most effective modern ways of getting this "life-saving" message out.

The shuffle lol i'd forgotten that! It used to really wind me up that some witnesses would crawl from door to door, i'd be marching along one moment and pulled back the next with pleas to slow down so they could spread their time and look like they did more than slowly shuffle along. I used to try to walk as quick as i could to get the ministry ordeal over and done with!

heard an interesting comment at a wedding reherasal i am attending out of town.. the elder, joking around during the rehersal, said:" did you know the wedding ring is a pagan symbol?

funny how they pick and choose which pagan things to use.

" i was taken aback and wondered if that elder is here.

Bit off topic but at my wedding the elderly elder who was doing us made a comment about how my husband should appreciate it when he gets home from work and i bring him his slippers!lol not on you nelly mister! I can still see the outrage on my mum and sisters faces now!

Do you Sudoku?

i tried the one in the newspaper the other day and just about solved it.

but thought i should start small and work my way up to get a better understanding of how it's played.. so i picked up a sudoku mag at target the other day.

it's an easy one and i'm really getting the hang of it and enjoying it.

agh they are like my worst nightmare!My husband loves doing them but as soon as he tries to explain them to me my brain switches off and i can't take it in!I'm like that with anything to do with numbers, he despairs of me poor thing haha

i have been told to study this book with a sister so that i may can be indoctrinatedadjusted according to bullshitaccurate knowledge.. i dont have this book, nor do i remember reading it, or studying it, just wanted a head's up from those of you who may have it, or know where i can read a copy of it online...any help is really appreciated.. thank you in advance!.

I really don't understand why they always want to make you study their publications if you are inactive or weak, i had about 8 studies in 13 yrs and it was just going over the same old rubbish each time, i felt like saying - i know all this already hows that gonna help?!Personally i think its a ploy to get their hours up, people always seemed to offer to study with me just when they were about to start pioneering! That book was actually the last one i studied, i think it helped me on my way out!
