ok so rutherford came up with the idea to change the name of the true religion of god to jehovah's witnesses based in isaiah 43. and of course ever since the rank and file witnesses have lovingly thought of themselves as gods chosen people.

well some one frogot to mention that in chapter 62 of isaiah gods says his true followers will be called by a new name.

yes newer then the old name almost 20 chapters ago.

WT's 2 BOE Letters Flip-Flop!

everyone knows about the recent across-the-board okay to use electronic devices in jw worship.

few, though, know about how not long ago it was considered a taboo.. first, there was that dc talk a couple of years back where they nearly demonized simply the ownership of a smart phone, ipads (i phones, blackberries, etc) let alone the use of them at meetings.

they brought out that they were a waste of time, expensive and that they exposed a christian to satan's world on the internet.

But they were the first to establish a rule in the first place. Oh the ignorance!!

there's a new letter coming up next week to be read instructing the publishers to begin reporting the number of tracts placed in the ministry, including copies of kingdom news 38, annual invitations, district handbills and other tracts.

Blondie, on the letter it says that for now, publishers have to write it down in the "booklets/brochures" column. And in the future, they will revise the form.

Also on the letter, they say they gonna release a 4 minute video on their website title "why study the Bible?" On Nov. 18.

JW Preaching Work Ends in 20th Century ?

page 12 of the january 1,1989 wt original magazine paragraph 8 ends with the statement that the apostle paul's missionary activity laid a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century.".

(a subtle prophecy that 'the end' will come by the year 2000 a.d.).

this sentence is changed in the bound volume reprint to read "a work that would be completed in our day.

The WT is bumb. They changed "in out 20th century" to "a work that would be completed in our day."

In using "Our", they are still setting a date. Even if it is in the future.
