  The work of constructing and maintaining theocratic facilities throughout the UnitedStates branch territory is indeed great! (1 Chron. 29:1) With this in mind, we are pleased to informyou of a special meeting to be presented on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. EasternStandard Time (EST) to all elders and circuit overseers in the United States branch territory.The meeting will be approximately two and a half hours in length and will includepresentations by members of the Local Design/Construction Department, the United StatesBranch Committee, the Worldwide Design/Construction Department, and a member of the GoverningBody. Additionally, a new, dramatically different Kingdom Hall design will be released atthis meeting. (bold mine) Exciting developments in constructing and maintaining Kingdom Halls will be discussed,including how all in attendance and others can support the arrangements.
  While we apologize for giving you short notice, (too much for planning, bold mine) we encourage all elders to be in attendance.However, arrangements are being made to rebroadcast the meeting at a later time for thebenefit of elders who are unable to attend this important meeting on the date noted above becauseof a circuit assembly or other circumstances. Details concerning this arrangement will besent in due course.We are confident that this meeting will be an informative and faith-strengthening experiencefor all.   Governing Body Helpers ----- Who are they? Are they future GB in the making?

  so after nearly 15 to 19 years of not attending a convention, i can't recall exactly, i went to one last year.

  the brother giving the talk was from bethel and was introduced as a helper of the governing body.

  it was a title i never heard of before.

  Experience in a talk

  last week we had an elder giving a talk, cant remember the title.. the thing that was of interest is the experience he gave:.

  "a brother who was working in a hospital had to leave his job which was paying him good money because the nurses wanted to sleep with him and they kept putting notes for him on his desk!".

  this is not the first time i hear similar experience.

  New layout feels very chaotic

  i don't really know how to describe the feeling but i'll give examples, but the new layout to me makes it feel tiring being on for too long.

  1. there is the top menu, then a big add between that and the next part, a big ad between the bottom and where you reply, then on the right column you either have 2 ads on top or some type of summary, then ad, then either related posts or other areas.

  there are no borders, the adds have the same color and text type but larger font, and it all seems chaotically merged into one thing where you need to constantly sort out what you are viewing.
