  a schoolgirl who left the jehovah’s witnesses after learning of its alleged failure to protect vulnerable women has blasted the organisation in a powerful speech to her classmates.. holding back tears, she recalled her personal experiences as a member of the church and how she was taught everyone outside the religion, including her father, would be sent to armageddon.

  back in my teen years this story swept through jw land, that according to, the guinness book of records , freddy franz, was listed as one of the seven, most intelligent , men in the world.

  dose anyone else remember this?

  i remember trying to look it up, but never found anything in print, and ii point that out once or twice , and was told a co, had told about it, and he wouldn't lie!

  Dear Brothers:

  We are pleased to inform you that a new series of short videos will be produced to emphasize the acceleration of the worldwide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Isa. 60:22) These videos will be produced quarterly and will enable us to see various ways that our contributions are used to support Kingdom interests around the world.—2 Cor. 8:12-14.

  The appropriate video should be played at the beginning of the local needs part for the months of March, June, September, and December. The video for the month of March is entitled Organizational Accomplishments—Sail Amsterdam 2015. If the time allotted for the local needs part is insufficient to show the video, then other parts on the meeting that evening should be reduced accordingly. On the other hand, if time remains after the video is shown, then the brother assigned the part may use the time to address local needs. These videos will first be made available in the “Event Media” section under the “Documents” tab on jw.org and will be visible to those with the “View Event Media—Restricted” role. Later, these videos will be made available in the JW Library app.

  We trust that this new video series will help all in our international brotherhood to feel united in Jehovah’s service. (Mic. 2:12) Please be assured of our warm Christian love and best wishes.

  but in the drop down language menu there are only about 50. so where are the others?

  i was talking to a friend of mine about perfection last night.. he made a comment that there was no way to have perfection, unless you made one thing and set that as perfect.

  everything after that would be a copy and otherwise would always in some way fall short of perfect, the original creation.

  we were talking about art.. and then he made a comment that god did not create us perfectly.

  TO ALL BODIES OF ELDERS IN THE UNITED STATES BRANCH TERRITORY

  Re: Magazine Requests

  Dear Brothers: In our letter to all congregations dated October 20, 2015, regarding making wise use of printed magazines, publishers are encouraged to use good judgment to determine an individual’s interest before offering magazines. When the supply of magazines is depleted before the end of the month, publishers may use brochures, tracts, the Bible Teach book, and past issues of the magazines. These efforts are making good use of Kingdom resources. The following arrangements are being made to further assist congregations.

  Special Requests of Magazines: Currently, each congregation is able to submit a special request via the jw.org website for additional magazines that will be included along with the regular magazine shipment. Since these additional copies are printed and shipped with the regular standing-request copies, minimal additional cost is incurred. Effective immediately, special request of magazines will be accepted until an established cutoff date, which will usually be several months before a magazine issue will be used in the ministry. Cutoff dates will be posted in the Announcements section of the “Congregations” tab on jw.org. If a unique need arises, the congregation may contact the Shipping Department using the jw.org Inbox feature and an exception may be made if the requested issue is still available.

  Rush Requests of Magazines: Currently, congregations can request a rush shipment of magazines, which is delivered by commercial carrier via ground, two-day, or overnight service. Effective immediately, this arrangement is discontinued. If a congregation has a unique need for additional magazines to be sent as a rush shipment, then contact the Shipping Department using the jw.org Inbox feature. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Before requesting a rush shipment, please ensure that the following questions have been considered: Is the rush shipment needed to replace a lost or damaged shipment? Has the body of elders reviewed the October 20, 2015, letter and agreed that the situation merits a rush shipment?

  To ensure an adequate supply of magazines, advanced planning will be needed by the body of elders. This is especially the case when preparing for months when magazines are the featured literature offer and when increased activity is anticipated. For example, planning will be needed well in advance of the Memorial season and other months when there will be an increase in auxiliary pioneers. The Congregation Service Committee should meet as soon as possible to discuss these adjusted arrangements. Thereafter, the service overseer should review this information with the magazine servant.
