if the righteous and the unrighteous will be resurrected, and will have the same chance at paradise as the hard-core dubs, what was the point of being hard core?

i know the point used to be "well, armageddon is gonna happen this weekend, and you'll survive and they won't!

New songs at meetings

today at the wt study one of the new songs was used.

how has this been going in other congs - at my hall about two thirds had it on either tablets or phones with lyrics on or printed out, rest just stood looking blank.

When this new songbook came out, they said this:
16 For that and other reasons, the Governing Body approved the publication of a new songbook entitled Sing to Jehovah. The number of songs in our new book has been reduced to 135. Because there are fewer songs to learn, it should be possible for us to memorize the lyrics of at least some of the new songs. This is in harmony with Paul’s counsel recorded at Ephesians 5:19.—Read. - w10 12/15 p. 23
So, what's the count now? 135+ new songs = 142.
Old songbook had 225. Slowly but surely getting into the 200s again.

Jackson on Deuteronomy 22 and "two witnesses"

in his testimony before the royal commission geoffrey jackson said he did not have the answer to the question posed to him regarding deuteronomy 22:25-27 and was unable to ask jesus at this time.

two things stand out to me about this piece of jackson's testimony.

1. he said he could not ask jesus.

The problem I have with this is that the WT/GB/FDS has spent a huge amount of time and ink telling the R&F to live a simple life, not buy things or electronics that are popular, and even learning hoe to use this devices will subtract time that is better to use on the preaching work.
And now all of the sudden is good and divinely approved to buy iPads, Tablets, computers, Rokus and stuffs...hypocrites!
In the meantime...get back to me when the WT gives a 20% OFF on Apple TV's (I heard there's a new version coming out soon).

PS: And when you see my name pasting stuffs from the Borg, don't bother asking if is legit. IT IS. I won't wasted my time coming up with fictional stuffs. The stuffs the Borg comes up with are fictional enough.
