i've got extended family that live out of state who are active witnesses and my husband's father is an elder.
my family is so not a part of our lives, that the only time we speak are for funerals.
i don't even hear about births anymore.
Yes invite them! The more the merrier. Make it RSVP just to them so you can have some lines handy.Like ; Has wisdom not accompanied your age as to know how to mind your manners in the home of your host?
Then say; I hope this is a word to the wise.
You could also let it be known that gifts are welcomed.
Then again you could be underestimating them and their behavior may be appropraite.

sunday, january 14, 2007. a young jehovah's witness's decision to refuse a blood transfusion - which eventually led to his death - has split his family along religious lines.. jean-claude lavoie, 26, died in late december after refusing a transfusion while being treated for an intestinal tumour, the tqs television network reported friday.. lavoie's brother, who is a former jehovah's witness, has since launched an internet petition calling on the federal government to make it illegal for a person to refuse treatment on religious grounds.. "the jehovah's witnesses refuse blood transfusions for religious reasons," jonathan lavoie writes on the petition's website.. "this creates enormous stress for the family.".
I believe the blood thing is a great way for older jw men to legaly collect life ins and get rid of an aging wife in one great act of faith.
i spent the weekend with some relatives.
they have an fairly extensive library of jw material going back 50 years in their spare bedroom.
i was looking at a few items when i found a program for the divine victory convention held in winnipeg, manitoba in 1973. the convention lasted 5 days.
Being born in 56 it was at these conventions my main objective became to collect the names and #s of as many bedable sisters as possible.
i'm thinking about joining the aaa auto club.
my car is getting along in years and isn't going to get replaced any time soon.
i'm imagining that my stranded-on-the-side-of-the-road moment is imminent.
I once ran off the road (totaled the car ) in SD I live inTN they paid my tow bill, hotel room rental, meals, rental car, and an airline ticket home to TN. I had not had the policy more than 2 months.

i remember when i was little, probably only 4 - 5 years old; there was a huge congregation picnic at a park with food, games, etc.
Great way to narrow the feild of eligable mates. If one can only see them at the hall and no gatherings one starts to look outside the bookstudy group maby at school or work?

I remember one of these at a local state park. It was also a cookout. The steak we ate, that day, was provided by the local Waffle House through the efforts of one young male bros in the congo. This same bro now serves as a sub CO. Just think of the irony In 30 yrs he went from serving stolen steak to serving wtsbs.
