Remodeled my kitchen. It took longer than expected. Some times the locating of a tradesman, that is reliable, is a task in itself. The tradesman I used was the person who laid the porcilan floor tile. I also hired a helper for myself. Certain tasks can take days such as the sheetrock work.

Doing your own building work. Success or Disaster?
by Clam ini've recently had a burst water pipe in my house, which now gives me the chance (courtesy of the insurance cheque.
i'm lucky to have a good friend who's a carpenter so he'll be doing the complicated stuff, but while i'm happy to have a go at general diy, i'm always stressed about screwing up, rather than just getting on with it and enjoying it.
do you do your own diy, plumbing, wiring etc.

Resurrection vs. Re-Creation...
by Tuesday inum, what's the deal with this?
i'm speaking with a witness and he keeps talking about the resurrection and the way it's explained sounds like it's really a re-creation of all of our memories in god's mind then put back on earth in a re-created body.
so in essence a clone of me with my memories and personality will live forever in paradise, how exactly is that a resurrection.

Where do you see yourself in next 5 years??!!??
by zagor inwell have some time so thought to write this.... i went today to uni to speak to my supervisor and he asked me a question that locked me in my chair for few milliseconds.
he asked "where do you see yourself in next 5 years....and beyond that" then he went "... or better still imagine yourself in time 5 years from now, what would you like to have achieved?".
though knowing full well what two 'things' i really wanted to have in my life more than anything i was really locked into this moment almost powerless, because his next question was that 'one inch' punch which blew me off as if struck my bruce lee himself, he asked "...and what are you doing now to make sure that really happens that way?".

WOW!!! They are still putting weight on the dates 1914&1918. These dates are so far removed from recent history it could be confusing to a jw. So much so, as to cause investigation on the part of the inquiring jw mind.
Let's hope that some investigate.

Hey Folks
by KW13 inits been a little while since i last posted, just wanted to update you all on my life.. some of you may have read one of my other most recent posts - my gf is pregnant and imma be a dad!
got into the whole jw thing the other night with ma' again, had some deep discussions and got nowhere but now instead of finding answers or excuses she just tells me she is happy with her faith, in that case i think now i have come to a good position where i can make a mature decision - if she is truly happy then she can stick with her dubs without her son pestering her at every opportunity but unless either a very good chance comes up or she asks about something i won't bring it up.. hopefully all you apostates are behaving .

DON'T BUY EPSON PRINTERS!
by Elsewhere ini have the epson stylus photo rx620 and it is probably the worst piece of crap printer i have ever owned!
the problem is with the print heads.
they get clogged but cannot be removed!

Once burned twice shy. My experience with Canon was Bad. As school teacher I was provided with an HP. It worked well. I now own an HP for my personal unit now. No problems.
