I married someone who was DF'd and wanted him to get back in with his family (I couldn't fathom the shunning and how he must feel)! I was also raised with no religious background so it was ALL new to me and made perfect sense. I feel like the biggest dummy for not looking into it more closely.

Agape...I'm pissed! I really need this board, as I am going through a very difficult time. I'm losing friends and family and I doubt my decision every single day. I worry about whether or not I've screwed up my kids or if it going to effect them that family doesn't want to get to close because they "know they are going to be destroyed soon". My point is that this board was created so that like-minded people could find solace. When you stir up drama just because you are bored...it ditracts from the purpose of the site and makes more experienced ones relunctant to help newbies like me...and I need the support. So go somewhere else with your games! If you really need support, then stay and be constructive!

I was looking for a JW, non JW debate forum because I had so many questions about the org. I knew the society frowned on them but figured they had to be out there...I did a general search and it led me here.

I'm 100% with you. I'd like to get the exact thing done. I think that if you don't have ay unreasonable expectations about the results, then go for it! Do tons of research on the doc you choose though. Any Dr can call themselves a plastic surgeon even if they never studied it.

hello all, been lurking a few weeks, decided to post..... i am mid 20's, male, unbaptised, 3rd generation, elder family etc.
a number of years ago, in the name of intellectual honesty, i decided to research religions to make an informed choice before being baptised as a jw.... there was not enough time (and i was too uninterested) to look at other religions seriously, so i figured if jw is the "truth" then it should be able to stand any criticism.. is it just me or is it all a load of old bollocks?!.

I think that's a question you have to answer for yourself.
Agree 100%. Just do a little research a day so that can prove to yourself the level of rediculousness that the organization runs at. That way you have no guilty feeling about running away as fast as you can!
